The prices look good, but the customer service is horrible and they don’t have the inventory. Site said item would ship in days… took over a month. No tracking information ever provided and no email link. Have trouble? Fill in a form and they will send you a one line reply by email, but its from a “no-reply” email address.
This may be the worst web retailer ever.

My credit card was charged for the  order immediately but it took them 8 weeks to ship it. When I finally received it, the item was not as described on the website. I called and was told that there are no returns for orders under $50. A fact never mentioned when I placed my order. Emails and letters sent to them have gone unanswered, including a letter to the President of the company. HORRIBLE experience.

LBG has the WORST customer service EVER!  I called the Sales department to inquire about a ceiling fan to ensure that it could be installed with a vaulted ceiling.  Sales ensured me that the fan I chose would work.  Well, it didn't.  So, if you want to return an item, then there's a 25% restocking fee to return it.  We decided to keep the fan and purchased a new fan. . .that was five weeks ago.  Calling Customer Service is useless.  They'll put you on hold for ten minutes at a time and then apologize that the order is back-ordered.  Well, wouldn't it be nice to provide timely updates rather than have the customer call repeatedly to determine the status?!?!?  I cancelled the order and we'll see how long it takes for a refund.  Can't comment on the order accuracy, but overall satisfaction is extremely negative.  Customer service is not a phrase in LBG's business practice.

I have not received the merchandise yet. Contacted your customer service and was told on 12/30/09 supplier would ship in 3-5 business days.

LBG doesn't not offer on-line tracking of order. You call them, they check the order status with the vendor and send an e-mail with update. To date I have not received my lighting, which was ordered on December 9 and was expected to have shipped in 3-5 days. Then I was told it would ship the week of December 14, now I'm told January 3 (which is a Sunday?). I'm trying to be patient because it is the holiday season and shipping can be a problem.

This merchant's website said the product would ship in 7 days. It's been almost a month and nothing. The merchant said now will be at least another month before shipping from the manufacturer. Who knows if the product is even at the manuf.???

I would NOT recommend LBG at all!  I found 2 sconces I liked and saw that I could get free shipping on $50 orders. so instead of paying $15 shipping I ordered a couple of under-the-cabinet lighting (which I didn't 'need' as much as the sconces but thought they would be nice) to bring the order up to the $50 free shipping mark.  I got an email saying the sconces have been discontinued.  I called to see if I could get different sconces and THEY WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO REPLACE THEM WITH OTHER SCONCES without placing a new order and making me pay for shipping.  When I asked to speak to the manager the lady said, "I'm the manager and director and there is no one else to talk to and you have no recourse".  I couldn't believe it.  So I tried to cancel the under-the-cabinet lighting but they said those had already been shipped and I couldn't return them because they were a sale item.  Ridiculous!

After a terrible experience with another lighting website i swore id only use stores. But i couldnt beat the price Lighting by gregory offered and it wasnt a real big order so i took a shot. blown away by the reps. she even discounted the floor lamp more when i called. it came in four days and i couldnt be happier. maybe web shopping aint so bad!

Very quick service on both the orginal delivery and on a return i needed because of a mistake i made on the order form. Customer service handled everything timely and without a question. Great experience. If you need lighting, try gregory. prices are great too.

Highly recommended. They were very helpfull when i called. My light didnt qualify for the coupon but they gave me a discount that was almost the same value. showed up quick too.

One lamp arrive very quickly, second lamp never came. We had to email the company (no order tracking feature) and they informed us the other item was discontinued and they would refund the cost. The refund came in a couple days. I wish they had better inventory so we would have known they did not have both items. Now we have to find it elsewhere.

The product detail should have included the dimensions of the threaded end of the stake, not just that it's 9 inches. What is 9 inches - the entire stake? only the part to go in the ground? I had no way of knowing if this part would work as is. I don't think it's appropriate to charge a restocking fee for items, such as this, that does not provide the entire specifications of the item.

While the primary fault for the slow response is the mfr., Kim Lighting, the LBG did nothing to keep me apprised of the status of the order. They should have provided prospective shipping dates. Also, LBG didn't respond to 2 email queries about the order; I had to call them. I likely won't use them again, since there are lots of other vendors out there.

reasonable pricing, pretty fast delivery, item received in good condition. Vendor's website should provide a facility for order tracking -- from order receipt to delivery. Received an order confirmation, next contact was when item arrived at my residence with no capability to track order status in between.

Lighting by Gregory's only positives are pricing and free shipping. I've ordered twice, and both times, the delivery took several weeks (more than 2 months the second time). One piece of glass was broken and LBG refused to replace it (they offered to sell me a replacement). Customer service is terrible. I should have paid a few dollars more and gone with a more service-oriented supplier. I would never buy from them again.

I was told after ordering 3 fans 3 downrods and 1 light kit that the ceiling fans were no longer available. I now have 3 downrods and 1 light kit which I cant use and none of the customer service dept is giving me authorization to return this at their expense! They are still trying to sell these unavailable ceiling fans 4 weeks later.

Everything was as expected. I was under the impression that the light fixture we purchased took regular soft light bulbs, 60 watt. Turned out it took 60 watt candleabra bulbs. On the add it didn't say specifically but advertised regular 60 watt bulbs with the ad. I should have asked, buyer beware, ask the right questions. The fixture was a bear to install but that was just the way it was designed. To change light bulbs over time will be a challenge as the globe isn't real solid on the hanging post. We are researching a way to improve it. Thank you. Nancy Tedrow

the inability to track my order, the basic idea that I would sit tight and wait, is the basis of gregory's policy. My construction project has been finished for two weeks and no light or fan in the room, no way to find out when it will ship. I'm considering canceling the order and just paying more to get a fan in NOW.

This vendor does not supply tracking information unless you specifically call and ask for it. It would be nice to be automatically notified via email, similar to what they are doing with their order confirmation. Regardless of that, I am satisfied with this merchant.
