Poor quality, High Prices, Poor Value
We have been customers of Lands End for about 18 years. Over the last couple of years, we have noticed the prices increasing 35% to 40% (but they are offering free shipping! -- How stupid do the CEO's think Consumers are?). When we first started buying from Lands End many years ago, it offered a good product at a fair price -- and we kept buying year after year. As items wore out and needed to be replaced, we realized that the quality of the supposedly identical items was very inferior. And the prices are much, much higher to the point of being ridiculous for the products offered. We will just move on to other stores that treat their clients as if they have a little common sense & that offer a better value (not necessarily a better price). Wake up Lands End -- You have a good reputation -- but you must offer people a fair value. It could just be the Sears business model coming to the surface. If you have been to a Sears store in the last 4/5 years, you might think they went out of business about 5 years ago -- and just forgot to close the doors. So sad -- what a waste of a formerly excellent store.
