Avoid feeling scammed

I would not deal with jegem again. Both their product and service make one feel scammed. The pair of opal stud earrings from jegem came with clasps that were too big for the studs and slid off too easily making them easy to lose. The "14k gold studs" were so fragile that they bent with very little pressure. The opals themselves looked more like a synthetic opal or shell than any opal I've seen in a jewelry shop. Returning them was also a hassle. They agreed to let me return them after several emails which included pictures and threats of bad reports and disputing the charge with my credit card company because of the poor quality. I sent them back (with receipt confirmation)  but they did not acknowledge receipt for a month until I contacted my credit card company. Then they wanted my paypal account to reimburse me. Another week went by and I emailed another threat, whereupon they claimed they had put the money in the account. Paypal documents when the money is put in, so I could see that they had just deposited it that day. Unfortunately, I didn't know that paypal takes cuts or I would have pursued the credit card disput route. I recommend against dealing with jegem.
