I purchased the SP Monet bed set with premium frame 12/08/2008. The bed box spring collasped causing the mattress to sag. I called customer service. The agent to do the assessment called to set up an appointment. He was extremely nasty when he called and sounded annoyed. He came took several pictures and flipped the mattress. Noted the broken wood of the box spring. He acted very nasty with a bad attitude. I called several times after he left to get information on the process for replacement. After 3 weeks, I was told by customer service rep Sheila, that I was left a phone message 4/25/2011, the the warranty was void due to stains on the mattress. That was a blatant lie. I got no message. Also, the mattress was covered with a matress pad, therefore, no stains. The bed is in the bedroom of my son that is away at college. He came home on spring break and complained about the mattress. I asked if I could submit pictures proving the mattress is not stained and was told no. I was also told there is nothing I can do about the situation. I find it hard to believe that JC Penney would behave in such an unprofessional manner. I want the bedset replaced because of bad workmanship and bad quality. Also, I can not believe that I had to call constantly begging for information and defending myself for a product I purchased in good faith.
