Defective merchandise + worthless guarantee-LOW END products.
I ordered 3 silver plate flatware sets (of 20 pieces), a hostess set, and the butter spreaders. The name of the pattern was "Plume". It started falling apart as soon as we used it. Literally, it came apart in our hands. I emailed Horchow within the 6 month warranty period, not knowing they had any type of guarantee at all, even saying in the second email, "...if you don't guarantee your product then at least tell me how to get it repaired." They never mentioned that I could send it back. Later on, I was back on their website and noticed that they do guarantee for 6 months. I called back to tell them what happened and showed them the copies of all emails WITH dates included. They would not let me exchange or return any of it. I just have to eat the $600. I'll have to use my fingers to eat with as all the silver has fallen into 3 pieces each!
I will never spend a dime with them again. BEWARE of their cheap products. You'd also do much better going to a furniture store than to buy from them. I recognize several LOW END pieces for big money. Cheapo products, high prices, BAD customer service. Guarantee is a page of empty words. RIP OFF!
