Nice merchandise, good service, pricey, unreliable shipping dates

Very nice merchandise, no questions asked returns with free shipping, but pricey and their shipping dates are totally unreliable. Don't order from them if you need the item anytime in the near future, and DO NOT rely on the ship dates they give you when you place the order.
We ordered barstools from them in September, two days after we got the catalog, while we were having our kitchen redone. At the time they gave us a November 28 ship date, which was annoying but more or less OK because we would still have them for the Chistmas and New Year's holidays. Last week that suddenly changed to January 9, so not only will we lose them for holiday entertaining but we wasted two months that we could have used to order them from somebody else and are basically stuck unless we want to waste time during the holidays running from store to store. .
I don't know the purpose of running a business this way unless it's to get bankers to loan money on orders and only then have the items manufactured, so the customer is at the mercy of their factory deals.
They would be a great company if they cared about their customers enough to actually stock what they sell, or tell the truth about delivery dates if they don't.
