Don't shop at this company. Period. Innaccurate real-time inventory system. No customer service.
Do not shop at this company! Period. Misleading catalog and online advertising. Innaccurate real-time inventory system. Internal Order System reporting errors. No reasonable or resolute customer service. I purchase furniture for a top entertainment company with an average annual spend of $700K. One of our highest ranking execs requested I order the Del Mar patio set for his balcony. I called for stock check and placed order online with both verbal and written assurances item will ship week of 8/15. After convincing our high-powered exec that quality sometimes requires being patient I was floored to receive an email in July stating the order had been canceled and item discontinued. I was in quite a spot, to say the least so I wrote a complaint email then called and was so relieved when told it "was a mistake in their system" and the order would ship week of 8/15, as originally scheduled. They issued a new order number and sent confirmation email. On 8/15 after realizing we were NOT notified of updated shipping status and after contacting THEM I was informed the furniture will not ship until end of October. I requested to speak with a supervisor when I phoned (Operator I.D. # 2141) and her ONLY response was "we can't give you what we don't have". Well, I can't give FRONTGATE what I don't have and that's my future business. Their complete disregard for customer time, lack accurate of accurate reporting and flippant "we're the phone company - we don't have to care" attitude is completely unacceptable. Strongly advise consumers purchase patio furniture at RETAIL level. Online is too risky with this specific category of furniture, particularly in warmer climates. "Caveat emptor" - Let the Buyer Beware!
