High S&H and questionable product reviews

I decided against ordering from FaucetDirect.com because they wanted shipping and handling of $9 for an item that cost $1.40.  And when I increased the order quantity to try and justify the high S&H charge the S&H charge went up.  It is understandable that a $1.40 item does have enough margin to ship it for next to nothing but $9 for a $1.40 item?  But that's not the main issue that turned me off.  After all, it ain't a crime to make money and if you don't like someone's price, don't buy from them.  My issue, the product I was going to order had a 4.8 out of 5 stars review but I discovered that might not really be acurate.  I submitted a product review questioning the S&H charge and offering an inexpensive and better alternative that I used instead of ordering the product.  To this day that review hasn't been posted.  When I emailed to ask if they only posted positive reviews they responded and said that they post both positive and negative reviews and the data team just hasn't posted it yet.  Weeks later my review still hasn't been posted but at least 4 reviews dated after mine have been.  It would be nice if product reviews could be trusted and any filtering of the reviews harms that trust.  I'm not naive enough to think that all reviews that you read online are genuine but Amazon.com is an online site I frequently use and they seem to post any review even if that review may affect the chances of selling the item.  Since FaucetDirect.com is one of the sites Amazon will redirect you to I wonder if I should post my review on Amazon where it will get seen?
