Misleading info from numerous customer reps and website
I ordered a snowboarding helmet and goggles on Dec. 21st. Both were "Guaranteed to get there" by Christmas. It was late - 11:22pm - so I called customer service and was told TWICE that I should use 2nd day delivery because it was before 11:59pm. I pointed out that it was late and that something had popped up on the website about ordering before 10:00pm (despite the initial "Order before 11:59pm claim) and was told that it referred to the following day, which would require overnight shipping. The next day when I tracked the order it wasn't due to arrive until Dec. 27th. I called twice and was told both times I would receive a full refund and could keep the items but needed to call back if the order was not received by 9:00pm on 23rd. When I did that, I was told that the CONFIRMATION email had to be received by 11:59 (order acknowledged at 11:26pm but not confirmed until 12:27am). I ended up going to Sports Authority for the items (better deal, too!) and have refused delivery of the order from DSG. I will never shop at Dick's Sporting Goods again, either online or the retail stores. Have had issues with employees' attitudes at the retail stores but that's another subject.
