DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU CANNOT KEEP - BITTERLY DISSAPOINTED
Bitterly Dissapointed at Dicks Sporting Goods failure to honor their shipping promises as posted clearly on their website. I ordered a Children's street hockey stick for my son for Christmas (last minute addition to wish list). The order was placed on the afternoon of December 20th with a guaranteed delivery date of Dec 23rd for all items ordered by midnight on December 20th. Sounds great, I don't need to shop elsewhere for this gift as they have GUARANTEED it would be there on the 23rd. Upon tacking the item on UPS, I come to learn that the item will not be delivered until the 27th. I called Dicks customer service and I received the explanation that only items that leave the warehouse in 1 - 2 business days qualify for guaranteed shipping by the 23rd. Guess what, my item did ship in 1 - 2 business days and I even reveived a confirmation email that it had left the warehouse. I have tried contacting UPS to intercept the package but NOOOOO that's not happening and I also called Dicks Corporate Office for a better explanation but NO ANSWER? on December 23rd?? The best resolution I have been given by Customer service is, if the product does not arrive by Dec 23rd, I will receive a full refund and get to keep the hockey stick. What do i tell my child? Santa was running late??? Moral of this email - DO NOT MAKE PROMISES YOU CANNOT KEEP!!!
