I ordered a Sony DCR-TRV460 about 1 month ago. After paying about $26 for shipping/handling and mandatory "insurance" they sent me a model TRV360. I complained that they sent me a less-expensive model lacking the features I needed (like ability to play analog 8MM, touch screen display, digital photo capable, and remote control). "Dave" says they are essentially the "same camera" and they would "credit me a few dollars". Eventually after extensive complaining, e-mails, letters, and the threat of disputing the credit card charge, they agree to exchange it for what I ordered and paid for. One week later I received an open-box TRV-460 that smelled like an ashtray for some reason. It seems to work so I think I'll give up while I'm not too far behind. Their business model is to make money from shipping and return charges. Never again.

Sales representative Dave was very helpful with his suggestions for accessories for the 8700. I received the camera on time and the next day was on my way to New York City with a high school choir trip. I took over 450 photos while there and have received rave comments about the quality of the photos. Thank you for providing me with a fine camera.

I should have read the reviews before placing order with this vendor. Tried to sell a lower model at the same price claiming that the better model is not available. Will NEVER EVER use this vendor. Definitely a SCAM. This company brings shame and bad name to a good internet shopping industry.

Horrible experience with camera for less. I wanted to replace a camcorder I had lost. After I placed my order someone called to confirm the address and sell me an upgraded battery. I said no saying I had some of the accessories already. He then asked if he could keep the charger. I said no. The camera I received was a lower priced model that was clearly used and had no battery. I returned it and requested a refund. They are now claiming they have not received the camera and won't do anything to make it right. With all the options for ordering on line I suggest going elsewhere. I also agree with the other reviewers who say the positive reviews are suspicious.

I recently purchased the Sony DCR-HC40 from Camerasforless.com and it arrived faster than Ups said it would. Processing of my order was prompt(I ordered online) Best of all was that i could ship to a different address, one registered with my credit card company, and no questions asked. No annoying verification phone call or pressure from any salesman to buy accessories. I am very pleased with my experience and will be honored to do business with such an awesome company again.

They had the disscontinued product that I wanted new at a great price. I never purchased from them before, and was a little leery. Put your fears to rest, they do great business.They are factory authorized to sell many brands of disscontinued cameras which took me 3 months of searching in every store, and I was pleased when I found out that my order was shipped the same day that I placed my order! The receiver was also placed inside a box, instead of having a label placed on the product's box like most merchants do.

Based on the type of reviews on Cameraforless.com, I would not shop here. Most of the reviews are positive, but the majority of them appear to be from Cameraforless.com staff. Notice how the majority of the good reviews always include the company name. Odd? This smells like the work of a scam artist to me. This is for search engine purposes. So when someone does a search for CameraForLess.com, they will find these positive reviews. Notice how the bad reviews consistently carries the same message. Be Warned. Stay away from Cameraforless.com.

We had a couple issues regarding delivery of the complete order but everything was taken care of. I'm happy to say that although I was missing two expensive components of the camcorder the company sent the pieces out with no questions asked. Hey, mistakes happen. My experience was that these guys are trustworthy.

I would buy from cameraforless.com again. I order my camera on Monday & it was delivered to my house on Wednesday. The camera & the accessaries shipped were exactly as described on their website. I found their customer support to be very friendly & helpful and I didn't have to wait long to speak to their customer service rep.

The best price in the Net for a discontinued Olympus. I was phoned with the information that this was an out-of-box floor model, but wasn't told that there was no manual. A UV filter was tossed in gratis.

Very good buying experience for a Sony dcr -trv38 Digital camcorder [see my review on Epinions] Good advice as far as necessary add-ons and fast delivery. Excellent communications about the delivery. Goods certainly as advertised. Packaging was gonzo.

Overall the customer service was fairly responsive. A couple of minor problems with the purchase -

1. web site didn't say the camera I ordered was an open box item
2. the battery listed with the camera was wrong

The camera arrived on time and was in good working order. However, the company didn't send me the right battery for two and a half months. And only after I disputed the charge with my credit card company.

All in all, everything's in good working order. But the purchase certainly wasn't the smoothest online transaction I'd ever experienced.

I was very happy with this Seller-they delivered the items in a timely manner and accurately. Moreover, they were accommodating as to my special needs.

I think Camerasforless online store is a trustworthy and efficient store. I have ordered Sony DSC-V1 in two other online shops but I was told that it was out of stock at the second day though it was shown as in stock when I ordered it. Then I turned to Camerasforless and I got it in 2 days by UPS. I am very satisfied with its service.

This place is a ripoff! I ordered my camcorder which they said had been discontinued. They offered to send the next up model for the same price and said it was brand new. What I got was a product with a copied product manual, none of the software, a camera with scratches! When I called to ask them about it, he insisted that it was new and would only take it back with a 15% restocking fee. Thank God I used Amex - I let Amex do the fighting for me. I will never shop with them again.

I ordered my merchandise by writing them a e-mail what i need since i"m from Australia (a Canon ZR60 Mini DV Digital Camcorder ) on a Friday night; knowing that the order would not process until Sunday (closed Sat and 15 hours time zone difference.) I received a e-mail Sunday to wire in the total $328.56 and the info. what i should print out and take to my bank and on monday i received my confirmation e-mail and tracking number. [usps arrived at 4 pm friday that week evan they said expect 4-10 bussiness days] with a bright and shiny new Camcorder in excellent condition – well packed in blister pack and in perfect working order. I paid a slight bit more than I had to (they had the lowest prices on all camocorders and more them $200 less from the price for this camcorder here in Australia, … Camera forless.com showed them in stock and they were ! This was our second order and all went flawlessly. Cameras For Less was found when we went to epinions.com to research digital cameras. We bought our first Olympus camera as a factory refurb and were hesitant as to how well the order and the camera would go. I wouldn't place my faith in any other company for being as friendly and courteous and helpful as CameraForLess has been. Every purchase I have made from them has been on-time or early with delivery and have never made a mistake.

The few interactions I've had to make with their customer service department (either for questions or recommendations) have been very pleasant. They have very qualified, easy to understand and helpful employees working through phone and e-mail customer service. In general, I won't shop anywhere else if I can buy it here.

What a mess these guys are! I place my online order, then some guy David calls me and tells me to reorder it or offers to bring me the merchandise when he's nearby! I reorder and they say it's coming and it never arrives! I'm cancelling the entire thing. A bunch of jokers!
