I wanted to buy a last minute Christmas gift for my boss and reached out to Cabela's. Short of time and short of cash, the $1000 pair of Zeiss binoculars seemed "out of time and out of reach." It had to be the Zeiss Conquest, as their quality and reputation are second to none. I had seen my boss struggle with really bad binoculars bought at discount superstores. I told him that a good piece of glass is worth its weight in gold. But, like I said, I was short on time and money. Then I read about their Easy Payment Plan. This plan would allow me to purchase the item on my credit card in 6 monthly installments. I placed my order online. Soon thereafter I received a phone call from a very friendly and courteous Cabela's Representative. She informed me that my credit rating was not strong enough qualify for this payment plan, but that under the circumstances they would make an exception. She was extremely polite and helpful. In fact, all their employees have been first rate. To make a long story short, I received the binoculars on December 22, 2006, two days after I placed the order. Cabela's will be my outdoor sporting goods store from now on.
PS: My boss loved the gift.
