My experiences with Amazon have been consitantly amazing. They have a better selection than most physical stores, their prices are usually better and what few times I've had to talk with customer service, they've not only addressed my issues and met my needs, but exceeded them. They are a great company and successful for a reason!

My Kindle display quit working after 13 months. I called for help, and after over an hour on the phone trying to fix it, they eventually offered me a replacement for $40.
I had to wait to be able to afford it. Which I was going to do by selling back my textbooks after college. I got $88 on my account.
Took three emails to find out HOW to try and replace it. I had to get online with them "for security reasons". I've been on chat for over two hours.
1. They won't let me use my credit. The rules NEVER said I can't use my credit. They just said I can't use it in foreign countries. Yet, they won't let me use my money for it. Period. This was new information after they finally figured out that I had already gone through "troubleshooting".
2. The credit card information will not go in. They have had me enter it four times and it still won't work.
3. I now have to make ANOTHER $88 purchase from this garbage company to get my OWN money back.

Here's my review. Amazon store card is a farse. When you have trouble you won't be able to get help without jumping thru hoops. They will want to charge you a ridiculous fee to pay on phone with a service agent and no automated payment system. Then when you have troubles online you must call in and go thru hoops and not get anywhere. I don't recommend doing business with the amazon card due to the lack of customer service. I'm so disappointed with this system that I'm done with Amazon...

Customer service is terrible. I buy and sell on Amazon and they never paid the money for some items I've sold. Be careful and sell somewhere else. ALSO an expensive item I bought from Amazon was destroyed. And it had nothing to due with UPS because the outside box was fine. I agree with the other reviewers that say Amazon is not like it was before. How sad.

Amazon really is the best ecommerse site on the net. And on top of that, I have fallen in love with the Kindle. Since I got mine last month, I have read more books then I've done in years! Thank you Amazon for not only making buying easy, but for rekindling (ha!) my love for the written word.

put a order in to "todays concept" for a water pitcher then cancelled within 37 minutes when i found out it would not hook up to my type faucet. they had the nerve to tell me too late to cancel??? bunch of two bit thieves think about it 37 minutes is too late??? don't think they will treat you any different they could care less for a $16 dollar item they treat me like this?i spent a lot of money with amazon over the years but no more they stick their head in the sand saying they have no control over there venders what a bunch of bull

The product I ordered overall is pretty good, while the color doesn't match what I need. I returned the $400 item as soon as receiving it, and order another color of the same item. The returned item is brand new, no damage nothing wrong, I just opened the box to check the color. To my surprise, Amazon only gave me half refund of the total amount - deducting $200 as restocking fee for a new item! Why? How it happened? Looks they change their return policy and push their customers not return or change any item. I am waiting for their customer service feedback to decide my further action.

I've been an Amazon.com shopper for as long as they've been around. I used to love their service, but alas, no longer. In the last 3 months I've ordered several items that turned out to be junk; ie. poorly made in China, and defective right out of the box. I am then required to pay shipping to return it, not to mention the hassle of packing it up and taking it to UPS. When Amazon sold quality merchandise I never returned anything. Now, with all the third party sellers, Amazon has lost control. If you continue to shop on Amazon, I suggest you only purchase from them, and not any of the third party sellers. Buyer Beware!

I am usually happy with Amazon....but this time, not so much. Purchased Turbotax download (big mistake, always always always get the hard copy CD/dvd). Download was defective. I couldn't get it to access the update server so several forms were missing. Tried to do it manually and still had little success. Also found out that the state return was not included. And come to find out NO REFUNDS because it's a download. So the upshot is I am just out my original purchase and must go to Costco and get the real deal. What a rip! NEVER AGAIN!

I buy a lot of toys for various groups. Amazon is the greatest places to buy toys on the Internet... but the buyer has to be careful with their purchases. Before I buy anything on Amazon I make sure I know the true retail price (not the one listed on Amazon). They allow third party sellers who can inflate the retail price to make their high price seem like a good deal. If the price is above the retail price, then I would not pacify any seller who is selling at what I believe is an unreasonable price. If an item is sold and shipped by Amazon, then the price is usually pretty good. If it is sold by a third party merchant, then do your homework!

I ordered a book from Amazon for a class and received the wrong one. I had paid for expedited shipping and needed the book as soon as possible. Upon receiving the wrong order I contacted the seller and Amazon's customer service. Customer Service refused to do anything because it was a third party seller. They told me to give the seller 3 dyas to respond. This was beyond the window of "expedited" and no one cared to do anything about it. They told me to wait and file a claim. If I had time to wait I wouldn't have paid for expedited shipping.

Really bad experience ordering a 55" TV. Delivery date and time set, never showed up. Spent all day waiting Amazon and I spent 3 hours tracking it down, only to be told it would be delivered in 3 days. Cancelled order and was told money would be refunded when Amazon received returned tv (we never got - it was 200 miles away) and if we hadn't received our money by Feb. 10 to contact them. Total disrespect for my time and money. Posted the situation on their Facebook page and they took it down. Amazon seems fine for small things, but I will never buy anything big there again.

I placed an order with amazon only to have it damaged in shipping. UPS sent it back to amazon. They never contacted me relating to the order at all. There was a Xmas present in the order and it was due prior to Xmas. When I finally was able to get a hold of Customer service they told me that I had to re-do the entire order and I would be refunded for the first order within 4 weeks or I could just get a refund for the entire order in 4 weeks... They would not just replace the order and send me replacements.. Poor policies. Non communication of lost shipments and they like to hang onto your money for a long time. Very bad customer service. This was my first time ever buying from them and it is now my last. I will also be telling my friends about the poor service and making sure that I have them make their purchases elsewhere online.

Seriously AMAZON, DO NOT advertise that wonderful 2 day shipping if you cannot deliver. DO NOT believe them when they say 2 day shipping!! Yes, I am guilty of being a last minute Christmas shopper but I did choose your 2 day delivery (which is NOT cheap) and now all I get is some apologetic email that I will not get my Yankee chair in time for Christmas!!
Oh, and one the lovely suggestions of similar items to replace my Yankee chair was a Boston Red Sox chair. Um, really? That is the total opposite of what I ordered. I am completely disappointed in Amazon (this is the 2nd time they did this to me) and I seriously doubt I will use this website again. Way to ruin a Christmas surprise. I have to wrap a picture of this chair so that I have something to give on Christmas. Boo Amazon!

I purchased for Amazon.co.uk a pair of sheets for our Graco Travel cot they was the wrong size and Amazon webpage was very unclear, I spoke to several of their "Customer Service" advisers who the majority did not have a clue and was trying to fob me off, they did not speak clear English and did not seem to have knowledge of the issue I had, after painfully trying to explain to several of them they still have not sorted out our problem, very poor service how they get rating from other members I'm not sure but definitely my experience was very bad and will not never shop at Amazon.co.uk ever again.
I sincerely hope that my review is read by other online buyers and take notice.
