We bought a Mitsubishi WD-73838 DLP HDTV.  The TV arrived broken from extremely abusive handling by "Homedirect USA" "Direct Express for HDUSA" phone (317) 838-5066 and "Fidelitone" phone (425) 207-0369. The damage was hidden from me and I was pressured into a quick signature so they could get away. The TV has a high pitch squeel, the HDTV tuner doesn't always work, there is a slight crease in the screen. "Walt's TV" (480) 968-4999 didn't care, he told me to call Mitsubishi.  It took a month to get the part to repair the squeel only.  The repair didn't work, now the 30 day return window is closed.  Mitsubishi refused to replace the TV.  We're losing 3 months without a television and $1,900+.  We're stuck with a useless television and a couple thousand dollars in credit card debt.  We will NEVER buy electronics on Amazon or by Mitsubishi again.  Go to Costco and buy  a Samsung! (honest reviews are censored by amazon and rejected)

Recently made large order with Amazon, many of which were through the marketplace sellers.  Never again, Amazon itself are very good but the 3rd party marketplace sellers are not of the same quality. 
I am returning a red microwave oven that had a completely scratched glass oven door......and it's not that easy to get to the return collection firm(supposedly you can click on returns label)?????....not in  my case.

A radiator airer has one rubber 'foot' missing.  A red coffee cannister has a lid that will not come off. The red utensil pot had a label placed cleverly over the damaged area and the word UTENSIL isn't even straight. 


I would not buy a valuable item again and recommend that buying from a shop you can easily return to, is the safest option.   Packing up and returning goods is too much hassle, although the oven is being collected tomorrow as the condition was totally unacceptable.

I live in Oregon and I bike morning, day, and night  and i really needed a active jacket. This jacket met all of my needs.  It was comfortable, flattering, and extremely convenient with its small pocket areas.  I also found it to be a cheaper in price than ones i have found at sports stores around town.

I like shopping from Amazon.  I've always gotten my products and items quickly and without issue.  There's a sense of professionalism with Amazon that you don't get on eBay.  Being a very frugal shopper I always check multiple sources for buying an item and I compare price to include shipping costs, etc..  I have been finding more and more that I can get the items I want at the lowest price by shopping Amazon.  I also like their one-click shopping.  It's nice to just click and be done as opposed to having to log into another account such as Paypal to complete a payment.  I have directed many friends and family members to Amazon to shop and I've never heard a bad experience, nor have I ever had one myself.

They shippped at an excellent speed. The last product I have bought from Amazon come in way before planned, which I am not comlpaining. I gladly watched Hetalia season 2 (I think it was season 2...or part 2...or something like that). The product was in mint condition and was exactly what I asked and expected it to be. I felt excited and I've been ordering my anime and manga from here since. :)

Amazon is a place where you can find good deals on various porducts. Sometimes these deals are better then ebay deals. Return policy as well as shipping options are a big plus. I use Amazon a lot.

I purchased a battery charger for the HTC Thunderbolt phone battery from ACCESSORY ONE, an AMAZON vendor. The phone was purchased at a Verizon Store personally. The battery from the phone as well as 2 new OEM batteries will not fit in the charger. The representative of Accessory One 'just happened' to have a Thunderbolt battery and the same charger in her hand and told me they were compatable. She said I probably had aftermarket batteries. They are not. I understood Amazon's  policy was to pay for return shipping. Accessory One refused. The Amazon representative said they don't control policies of 2nd party vendor's. Since most of the products on Amazon are not directly sold by Amazon I have no more confidence in THE AMAZON name. You are basically 'on your own' so you may as well forget calling Amazon for support.

Found Amazon to be a very reputable online store.  I have purchased many items from them  and have found buying from them Quite satisfactory and their return policy is great.

However, their free super saving shipping is getting to be horrible if the item is being shipped from Amazon itself. if the item is shipped from one of their marketplace sellers, the item sends out with minimal delay, but from Amazon there has been an increasing significant delay before it is shipped. I recently ordered different items from Amazon & Newegg with the free shipping (same day, same time). the order from Newegg arrived before Amazon even shipped.

Unless there is a significant price difference, I am now buying elsewhere because of the slow shipping.

I am also finding the same item at multiple prices on the Amazon site, usually because it is supplied by different vendors. the initial search may not always bring up the best price.

I love amazon -- I shop there for just about anything! I recently subscribed for Amazon Prime (~80/year) which makes it even easier with free 2-day shipping. I would recommend it to anybody.

I have used Amazon for everything from phones to tools over the last 9 years. They are the best. I have never received a defective item, ever.

The trick to being happy with Amazon is
(1)to only buy items from an Amazon Store as opposed to other stores that sell on Amazon and
(2)to find their phone number and call them directly when you have any issues. Their customer service is all that and more as long as you bought items from Amazon itself.

The headache is being able to find their phone number on their site. Anytime I've needed it it takes me an hour to find it.

I should note that I have gotten some nice stuff from their other venders but somesimes not so nice, so I just stick with Amazon now.

I just had the worst on-line purchasing experience ever and it was an Amazon Marketplace seller - Ocean Beauty.  They were very slow in shipping so I eMailed - had to eMail more than once because they did not respond.  A week later I eMail again about my order - they told me that it would be going out in a couple of days.  Ten days later Amazon eMails to let me know that my order was cancelled because this slime-ball of a seller claims to be out-of-stock.  The real reason they don't want to honor my order is that the pricing was too good for the multiple number of items I ordered.  I have tried to contact Amazon to complain but can't find any link to do this. 
Anyway - no more Amazon Marketplace sellers for me.

The best online shopping website!!! Almost everything is here. Shoes, books, textbooks, clothes, movies (free for prime members by the way), musics, electronics, groceries (I hope they add more, subscribe and save is awesome), and cute items (please add more japanese toys or asian cutesy stuff) and much much more. They have lightning deals as well. No tax and free 2 day shipping for prime members. Dude! I've been doing a lot of online shopping and no website is like amazon. Seriously!

From what I read, most of the complaints from the reviewers about amazon are from buyers.
I would rate amazon the lowest from a marketplace seller's point of view among all the leading marketplaces.
I wrote them about what is accepted as proof of delivery for items sold and shipped, they wrote back saying a tracking number/ delivery confirmation number are acceptable. While, Amazon is not accepting it when there is a dispute.
One of my buyer complained about the condition of a used book baught from me and Amazon did not even encourage the buyer to return it before refunding the buyer. Because Aamzon is refunding it from my account. Although the buyer were notified by me to return the book for a full refund plus any return postage might incur. The buyer just wanted to complain to get money back without returning the product and Amazon just simply went along with it and let me sitting on the loss which is unjustified. 
In general I have much better experience as a seller on the other marketplaces as eBay, buy.com etc.
