The best online shopping website!!! Almost everything is here. Shoes, books, textbooks, clothes, movies (free for prime members by the way), musics, electronics, groceries (I hope they add more, subscribe and save is awesome), and cute items (please add more japanese toys or asian cutesy stuff) and much much more. They have lightning deals as well. No tax and free 2 day shipping for prime members. Dude! I've been doing a lot of online shopping and no website is like amazon. Seriously!

From what I read, most of the complaints from the reviewers about amazon are from buyers.
I would rate amazon the lowest from a marketplace seller's point of view among all the leading marketplaces.
I wrote them about what is accepted as proof of delivery for items sold and shipped, they wrote back saying a tracking number/ delivery confirmation number are acceptable. While, Amazon is not accepting it when there is a dispute.
One of my buyer complained about the condition of a used book baught from me and Amazon did not even encourage the buyer to return it before refunding the buyer. Because Aamzon is refunding it from my account. Although the buyer were notified by me to return the book for a full refund plus any return postage might incur. The buyer just wanted to complain to get money back without returning the product and Amazon just simply went along with it and let me sitting on the loss which is unjustified.
In general I have much better experience as a seller on the other marketplaces as eBay, buy.com etc.

I ordered two items on Amazon from two different dealers. One of them was from a seller known as lutt816. Because I live in Canada, I had the items sent to my sister-in-law in Vermont. Both orders arrived promptly and I was able to return to Canada with both packages. but on Christmas morning, I discovered that one of the items didn't work. Throughout the day several members of my family worked with it, but no one could find the problem. I emailed the seller, lutt816, who answered immediately and after asking me a few questions, wrote that I should send the item back to him. After returning it to the seller, I was refunded not only the full price including shipping but also the postage that I had paid to return it. Amazon has a very deceptive practice of offering credit card and "incentives" linked to your purchase... but after you apply they tell you that your application will have to be reviewed...so you dont get the discount on that purchase after all... so i just didnt buy what i was going to. Then i tried to get my application process stopped as I was no longer interested in the new credit card and their representative told me it couldnt be stopped. WHAT A SCAM!!! So if you buy anything from amazon... do NOT apply for their credit card.. whether it is thru Chase or another bank.. as it it just a bait and switch process.... you end up getting screwed.

I love Amazon.com! I look here FIRST before I buy anything. I get great deals, a lot of times free shipping, and everything I have EVER ordered from them is delivered quickly and without problems. I'm sorry to read that others have had problems - I guess it's a given that all people cannot be pleased ALL the time. Certainly, things go wrong, no matter who you are or what website you are - and trust me, I am the first to give a poor rating when it is deserved. To me, Amazon is the BEST of the best! I've ordered small furniture items, gadgets, novelty items - you name it. I've always had a good experience. I think for the most part, Amazon strives to give good service. I have always been completely satisfied in my dealings with them.

I recently purchased a universal remote. Everything on the order seemed right when I reviewed it. I looked at the estimated delivery and it seemed quite quick on the delivery date. I thought great, but when I clicked on submit the actual estimated delivery date now said 2-3 weeks beyond what was stated in the order preview.
Not happy. I am hopeful that the seller will do what they can for shipping, but in the mean time I think Amazon could do a better job estimating the delivery prior to me pressing the confirm button.

Asked seller to divert shipment and they took no action. Only responded after the third email a week later. The only reason they did respond at all was to say they didn't think they couldn't divert the shipment even those it is an obvious menu option when you track any package. This is not good customer service; Not recommended!!

I would by all means avoid Amazon.com's "Your.trusted.seller" is not to be trusted. Fortunately, however, Amazon does protect you by refusing payment to them unless they received confirmation of shipping. That is some consultation, but certainly not worth the grief you go through with expected delivery and total failure of seller response.

Amazon has a lot of products to buy.
Some people claim that Walmart and other shopping sites are more reliable and trustworthy, which i think is not right.
Amazon does sell accessories at costly price, but its high value items are economical to buy.
It has an easy shopping cart, wish list and payment method.
I can choose which product to buy, selection of products is easy. I can save my wish list if i intend to buy the product at a later date. However, Amazon is different from Amazon Mechanical Turk which has lot of complaints all over the world for banning their own online workers for suspicious activities. The only problem with Amazon is that many of the products are not available for dispatch to your country.

Amazon is an extraordinary resource for many products, and is always my first online site for price checking, reviews and product availability. Other than "remainders" I rarely purchase books elsewhere and often take advantage of their free shipping for orders over $25.00. In addition to their own price for new books and products, Amazon provides options for purchase of identical new and used items from other vendors, as well as similar items. Customer service has always been rapid on refunds for returns, and corrections of their very rare errors on purchased items. I would rate them as twenty on a 1-10 scale!!

I have ordered many times from Amazon and always been pleased with the products and the way in which they were delivered. However, I issue this review as a WARNING to others...my credit card information was just lifted from an Amazon on-line purchase!!!! I know the Amazon market-place was the venue from which my information was stolen because I have made no other purchases with my card in a over 1 week, leaving just one theft opportunity.
I am currently dealing with my bank regarding a fraud investigation into this matter. The perpetrator charged $322 on my account and attempted a second $150, which the bank flagged and declined. Be VERY, VERY cautious when ordering from Amazon!

The air conditioner will only work for one summer and then break down. If you call Haier customer service, you will not get any. The air conditioner breaks suddenly and Haier's solution is to have Transglobal, their service provider, send out a repairman for 77.85 who will give you an estimate only of the repair. You will have to pay another 77.85 when he comes back to repair it.
Amazon is a fantastic marketplace. I wish they would provide more shipping to Canada. I wish Haier had just a bit of the customer service that Amazon supplies. Amazon's delivery is superb. If they don't have it in stock, they let you know immediately and then give you the option of cancelling your order. I have always been very satisfied with Amazon. Amazon should not sell Haier products as Haier is a disreputable company and does not stand by its word when given.

I ordered a pair of sunglasses. Received a notification it was out of stock after they had charged my card. I asked for a refund and never received it. Every contact with Amazon resulted in them saying the refund was issued according to their records and my problem was with my bank. My bank says they have no record of a refund being issued to me and my problem was with Amazon. Never shopping here again!

They have always been extremely prompt to handle every phase of the process from start to finish. They have even intervened on my behalf with a third party. It is really a great place to purchase at low price with excellent service and return policy.
It is also easy to find merchandise that you can hardly find anywhere else. I used to buy at eBay but lately I can find at Amazon most of the vintage staff for the similar or even lower price without the risk of losing the bid.
I suggest those who complain about Marketplace, it is completely different animal to deal with. Amazon can't control details of those transaction but gives an indispensible advantage of reading reviews, checking seller's ratings, making own informed desicions as well as sharing your opintions with others, plus making claims if something goes wrong to get your money back. My personal advise = do not buy from sellers with less than 95-97% user satisfaction ratings.
