We purchased FamilyTime Basic plan with 2 Motorola V300 phones, and A1Wireless promised a total rebate of $300 with 4 rebate forms to fill (each $75).
Interestingly enough, 2 of the rebate forms need to be submitted with 2nd month's wireless bill (within 90 days), and 2 of the rebate forms need to be submitted with 3rd month's wireless bill (within 120 days). Since all the forms looked the same, we missed to submit the rebate forms on time (which we ONLY noticed after talking to the A1Wireless customer support person). In anycase, we filled in the forms, as well as, attached all the necessary proofs along with a cover letter, and posted it to A1Wireless on the same day (well within the 120 days timeline set by A1Wireless; who would want to miss $300 rebate!).
When we called the customer support (rebate section), they informed us that A1Wireless received 2 mailers on separate days for the first set of rebates & the second set of rebates. This was totally ridiculous, as we submitted it only ONE time. Nevertheless, the customer support personnel went on saying that we EVEN missed the deadline for the second set of rebates, although everything was post-marked well before the set deadline.
When we insisted that we talk to the manager, we were hung upon. We called again, and it was the same story, and that third time, it was again the same thing.
My complaints are:
(1) A1Wireless is lying that they received two sets of mailers from us, which NEVER happened (we sent everything only ONCE).
(2) Extremely RUDE behavior from A1Wireless by disconnecting the phone, not twice, but thrice. This is very bad, since we feel demeaned and being punished for no wrong-doing.
(3) A1Wireless CANNOT go on with their method of promising huge rebates, and not getting them to their customers by giving either false information or by lying. This is day-light robbery.
(4) More importantly, it is a matter of wasting time with companies like these that cheat customers, and create a very bad environment we live in. They should not keep proceeding with their bad motives of profiteering.
(5) Again, when we called to make a change of address request, they never wanted to pick our call. We could not, YET, make a change of address; and, I forsee they might EVEN come back with a new story that they sent the check, but was not delivered.
(5) Being a citizen of India, I feel ashamed of this Indian-American owned company A1Wireless, its President Patricia Sinha, Gary, and their employees for cheating customers.
FYI A1Wireless: You live only once; live gracefully (do NOT cheat others and lead your everyday life).
