This wine is from Italy, Tuscany region, Toscano sub-region. This offers gorgeous aromas of blackberry, mineral and flowers follow through to a full body, with superfine tannins and a long, long finish. A complex and wonderfully structured red. Long and beautiful. Best after 2012. 3,000 cases made.A rainy autumn and a winter with fairly low average temperatures and some snow, resulted in later development of foliage (12-15 days) than last year. As if to compensate for this delay, favourable spring weather conditions enabled the vines to develop about 10 days earlier than average. The month of June, July and August were unusually cool with average temperatures of 24C and plenty of rain in August. This created some problems for the ripening process and the subsequent harvest but the grapes harvested were healthy and completely ripe, up to the standard of recent vintage years and rich in potential. Given the weather conditions, the harvest took place later than in previous years and lasted until the second week of October. The grapes were harvested by hand after careful selection in order to obtain only the ripest fruit. From the beginning of the vinification process the grape must was very intense in colour. The extraction process was carried out with the greatest care, alternating pumping over with delestage according to the requirements of the three individual grape varieties; the skins were still present when alcoholic fermentation concluded and the maceration process took about three weeks for the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and two weeks for the Sangiovese. The wines were very stylish and subtle from the beginning. After devatting the were placed in new French oak barriques where malolactic fermentation took place spontaneously. After this the wines were blended and aged for about 18 months in barriques, during which time the necessary racking procedures were carried out. After ageing in oak the wine was selected barrique by barrique, and bottled on the premises, and released after a further year's ageing in bottles. This wine is from France, Alsace region, Alsace Grand Cru sub-region. The name of HENGST means stallion. The soil of the 360 meter high slope which dominates this vineyard is essentially a mixture of limestone from the Vosges, chalky marl (14% active) and layers of red, brown, green and beige sediment hundreds of meters thick. The mother rock is of an orange - yellow hue. Dating as far back as the Jurassic period the elements vary in density from very fine to very course. The Ph factor is within 7.8 to 8.3. This Grand Cru is 130.95 acres (53,02 Ha) of vines. The combined calcareous and marl soils tend to produce rich full bodied wines. In their youth they have an untamed character, reminiscent of the vineyard’s name - ”stallion”. They slowly mature to astonishing aromatics and fabulous richness.. The grapes were hand picked and whole-bunch pressed very slowly and gently in pneumatic presses over 5-8 hours to give a clean must and a beneficial amount of skin contact. Transferred to thermo-regulated stainless steel tanks the juice then began a natural fermentation using only its own natural yeast which lasted for one month. The fermentation was initially temperature controlled but was eventually allowed to proceed at its own pace to allow the wine to develop its own character and complexity. The wine stabilized in stainless steel tanks naturally during the winter season and, following a very gentle filtering, was bottled in March 2007 before the heat of summer to preserve the natural carbonic gas (a natural anti-oxidant). Malolactic fermentation is always avoided at Josmeyer and no chaptalization takes place.. There’s good richness in this dry white, but it seems slimmer, thanks to the racy structure. Peach, tangerine and mineral notes are in harmony, aligned with the body and the acidity as this glides to a long finish.. This wine is from Italy, Tuscany region, Toscano sub-region. Avignonesi is one of the most ancient wineries in Italy. The family has been in Montepulciano since the 16th century. In 2009, Virginie Saverys aquired the Avignonesi estate from the Falvo brothers. The Falvo brothers bought the property in 1974 and invested in viticulture (using local varieties such as Prugnolo and introducing new ones including Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot), creating a model for making premium Tuscan wines that is still followed today. Avignonesi consists of four wine producing estates that are nearly 1,000 feet above sea level. Le Capezzine includes a traditional vinsantaia (a Vinsanto production facility). I Poggetti, in Montepulciano, produces Vino Nobile. La Selva is dedicated to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. La Lombarda vineyard is planted to Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Nero, and Merlot. Vinsanto from Avignonesi is renowned and celebrated everywhere. Avignonesi's experimental vineyard, Vigna Tonda (round vineyard), researches how a wine's quality is influenced by planting density and orientation. The talented wine maker Paolo Trappolini is responsible for the wines. ITALIAN RED BLEND Wine Italian Still Wine

This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Napa Valley appellation. The 2005 ZD Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon represents another example of our commitment to producing powerful cabernets that also exhibit an elegant balance and distinctive style. With ZDs organically farmed Rutherford Estate as the core, this wine is a blend from several small low yielding hillside vineyards in the Napa Valley. Each vineyard lot was fermented and aged separately for one year before blending. The final reserve blend was then returned to barrel for an additional two years of rest in American Oak barrels. Savoring the intense aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis and plum, and subtle notes of clove, anise and sweet vanilla is an absolute joy. Deep, ripe black fruit is enveloped in soft, velvety tannins that carry extraordinary fruit flavors through to a long, seductive finish. This wine is drinking great right now but will age beautifully for many years to come. Only 800 cases produced! Enjoy!-Chris Pisani, Winemaker CABERNET SAUVIGNON Wine CALIFORNIA STILL WINE

This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Napa Valley appellation. Arietta Variation One Napa Valley is a blend of Merlot and Syrah, also from the Hudson Vineyards. The N Block is the only vineyard in Kongsgaard’s extensive experience with Merlot which naturally yields two and one half to three tons of fruit per acre without requiring thinning or hedging. This naturally balanced vineyard is a unique phenomenon; a gift from nature which is reflected in the harmonious quality of the wine. Syrah, from Hudson’s Hermitage selection grown in gravel unusual in the Carneros, is co-fermented with the Merlot to give the blend a wild and penetrating quality. If the H Block wine is an homage to the Right Bank of Bordeaux, Variation I is a Napa Valley original. The plum and licorice aromas of Merlot blend imperceptibly with the forest floor, wild game qualities attributable to the Syrah in a wine without antecedent anywhere in the world. The vinification, barrel ageing, and bottling are similar to the Arietta H Block wine. Variation I may be served young, especially with wilder dishes, but the powerful, if supple, tannin will support its evolution in bottle for at least 10 years MERLOT

His 138 acres are divided into four distinct areas: Pietradonice in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, Cetine in Sant’Angelo in Colle, Cerretalto and Fiesole. . The Fiesole is the oldest vineyard due northeast of Montalcino at 862 feet. In 1986, Cerretalto was acquired - a natural amphitheatre near the Asso River at an elevation between 617 and 741 feet. The vineyard's position to the east of Montalcino and unique terroir justify its own bottling. On the opposite side of Montalcino to the southeast, near Castelnuovo dell’Abate we find the Pietradonice vineyard, planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. The 61 acre Cetine vineyard, faces south-southeast on a hillside near Sant’Angelo in Colle. Soil, vineyard position, microclimate, choice of clones, grafting and well-organized vineyards all combine to produce exceptional grapes. As the quality of fruit from vineyards has improved, more care and attention have also been given in the winery - from vinification, to the careful selection and use of casks of different sizes, made from different types of oak - always with the maximum respect for tradition. The winery's Brunello production is divided between three different labels in order to best represent the estate's unique characteristics - White Label, Tenuta Nuova and Cerretalto. Giacomo Neri and consultant Carlo Ferrini are constantly looking for ways to improve their vineyards and winemaking. Their wines are fine expressions of terroir with good structure and soft oak..

The flagship of our company (21 hectares of different climates) coming from the Saint Christophe chapel situated at the top of the Hermitage hill and constructed in 1235 by the knight Gaspard de Sterimberg. The Chapel of the Hermitage was bought by Paul Jaboulet Aine in 1919 and it remains the company's property. L'Hermitage La Chapelle is considered to be one of the best wines in the world. It is made solely from the Syrah grape variety, the vines have an avaerage age of 40 years. The hill faces south on an axis south east, which is exceptional. Not one ray of sunshine escapes the vineyard and it is sheltered from cold winds. The soil is composed of granite sand covered with micaschist and gneiss but there are also areas of round alluvial stones. Our vineyards are spread over different terroirs : Meal, Bessard which give to our wine a mixture of complexity and finesse. The ageing (15 months in oak casks) gives the inimitable La Chapelle , a vintage of around 80,000 bottles. SYRAH Wine French Still Wine

This wine is from United States, California region, Napa County sub-region and Napa Valley appellation. The 2008 growing season has produced a particularly complex and complete expression of Napa Valley Merlot, combining bright, lifted red fruit elements with darker, more extracted layers. This depth is on display in the aromatics, where notes of Asian spice, red currant, plum and blueberry crisp are supported by a subtle streak of earthiness. The palate is both velvety and balanced, with flavors that echo the aromas. These flavors are held together by granular tannins and accented by oak-inspired notes of molasses and nougat. The Rudd Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon is the third vintage produced from the newly re-planted vineyards of our benchland site in Oakville. The vineyard is planted in very rocky, red volcanic soils using low-vigor rootstock, in a high-density, 4' x 4' vine spacing. The Cabernet Sauvignon for this wine came from the highly regarded Bordeaux clone #337 and two intensely-flavored, historic California clones, #4 and #15. The Cabernet Franc is clone #1, the Merlot is clone #181, the Petit Verdot is clone #400, and the Malbec is from clones #9 and #595. This wine is from Australia, South Australia region, Fleurieu sub-region and Mclaren Vale appellation. The young Footbolt Shiraz has a deep red-purple, then the immediate hallmarks of spicy, lifted ripe peppery mulberry and blackberry fruit aromas. Richer chocolate, stewed plum mint and spicy, cedary pepper smells and often cinnamon follow the initial attack of primary fruit characters. 'Arenberg's The Footbolt Shiraz palate is consistently well structured with terrific fruit and totally integrated oak tannin providing great texture to support plum, blackcurrant and rolling blackberry flavours especially on the mid-palate. Often dark chocolate characters are quite evident too. This is followed by a traditional, long, velvety, fine grained tannin finish. The Footbolt Shiraz will gain complexity with age, as with all d'Arenberg red wines. The aromas slowly incorporate developed cedar, coffee and developed dark chocolate smells with leather, tobacco and earthy aromas while always maintaining great fruit characters from spicy through to very ripe, depending on the vintage.. More often than not distinctive peppery-spicy characters come to the fore after a little time in bottle. On the tongue, the Footbolt Shiraz maintains a wonderfully textured palate with significant bottle age. Gentle, grainy black olive flavours balance the sweeter coffee, chocolate and occasional mint characters. The hallmarks of McLaren Vale, d’Arenberg, and The Footbolt Shiraz; a soft, rich middle palate, terrific texture and a long rolling finish, can reside with this wine for a number of years, even decades, as more than four decades of previous vintages have shown.. Serve at room temperature 16 - 24 ?C. now or cellar for the next 2- 20 years with many types of food, especially hearty stews, rich pasta dishes, roasted and grilled meats including poultry and other white meats. Also goes well with slightly hot or spicy dishes and with hard- pressed cheeses. Serve after decanting as an older wine. SYRAH Wine AUSTRALIAN STILL WINE

This wine is from Italy, Tuscany region, Vin Santo Del Chianti sub-region. The winery Casale-Falchini, located outside the walled city of San Gimignano, one of Tuscany’s great scenictreasures, was acquired by Riccardo Falchini in 1964. He is a descendant of an ancient Florentine family thatproduced wine for Cosimo de’ Medici. In 1976, the old cellar was replaced with a new winery, the first in the area tobe equipped with cold processing and state-of-the-art, temperature control equipment for the fermentation. Theestate’s terroir consists of yellow sands and clay with a large amount of Pliocene fossil life. The lime from thosefossils is a major source of nourishment for the vines. The soil retains sufficient moisture even in times of droughtand the climate and exposure are ideal, accounting for the premium quality and reputation of Falchini wines.Falchini is considered a leading producer of the region’s best known wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano - a favoriteof the great Renaissance master Michelangelo - which comprises 60% of the estate’s production. Giacomo Tachis, creator of Tignanello, Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Solaia is a consulting enologist who has enhanced the reputation ofFalchini’s reds. Sadly, Riccardo Falchini passed away on November 25, 2010. Operations will continue under thedirection of his sons Michael and Christopher, who had worked with him for a number of years previously.
