Jermanns 2009 Red Angel opens with dark, mysterious hints of tobacco, dark cherries, earthiness and incense. The wine fleshes out nicely on the mid-palate and finish as it continues to blossom with air. In this vintage the finish is especially round... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Pinot Noir wine from Veneto in Italy. 2009 Jermann Red Angel on the Moonlight Venezia Giulia 750ml

This wine is from Italy, Friuli-venezia Giulia region. Zuani is an estate owned by Patrizia Felluga and her son, Antonio. Her family is famous in the Collio district as the owners of the Marco Felluga and Russiz Superiore wineries. Zuani has a 12 acre vineyard on a hillside where vines surround the cellar. The vineyard soil is marl and sandstone of mid-oceanic origin with superb aspect and position, on a medium to steep slope. The varieties planted are Friulano, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon. Zuani produces two wines - Zuani Vigne, fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and Zuani Zuani, from selected late harvested grapes and aged in barriques of French and American oak, with frequent lees stirring. These are terroir based wines that express the traditional qualities of Friuliano varieties with a more modern style.. A blend of Friulano, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and PinotGrigio from vines between 15-30 years old. Each variety isvinified separately and then fermented and aged stainlesssteel. This wine is from Italy, Friuli-venezia Giulia region. The Bastianich winery, founded in 1997, strives to understand the history and culture of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and take it to a new level. Restaurateur Joseph Bastianich with his mother, the renowned chef Lidia Bastianich, bought a vineyard in Buttrio, a town in the Colli Orientali DOC. The family is very precise in their winemaking, controlling yields so that each individual vine produces one bottle of wine. They employ traditional manual methods in the vineyard and create wines that express the character of the land.. Calabrone Grappa is distilled from the skins of Bastianich Calabrone -Pignolo, Refosco passito, Cabernet Franc passito, Merlot and CabernetSauvignon.. After distillation the grappa was aged in 100% stainlesssteel. Aromas of yeast, bread dough and dried red fruit. Plenty of glyceringives this grappa a soft mouth feel. Across the palate it opens to richnessand complexity, hinting at the apassimento fruit used to make thisgrappa. The finish is warm and very long without harshness. il disegno di michel angelo e il colorito di titiano cosi', secondo un suo biografo, carlo ridolfi, il giovane tintoretto avrebbe dichiarato, scrivendo sul muro dello studio, il proprio programma artistico. vero o no che sia l'episodio, questo e' oggi per noi il significato della sua pittura che innesta nella tradizione veneziana del colore il forte disegno della maniera toscana. artista intransigente e instancabile, non lascio' mai venezia: molti palazzi e molte chiese sulla laguna splendono della luce dei suoi dipinti, ma opere sue sono oggi presenti nei maggiori musei del mondo. nel corso della sua vita, tra il 1518 e il 1594, la repubblica veneziana raggiunse quel culmine di gloria e potenza che ha gia' in se' i segni della decadenza imminente. da quei segni l'inquietudine irrompe nella pittura totalizzante di tintoretto: e' la luce dei suoi dipinti religiosi, nel tempo della controriforma; dei suoi vibranti ritratti, nel tempo dell'ultima fortuna del potere veneziano.

This wine is from Italy, Friuli-venezia Giulia region, Collio Goriziano Or Collio sub-region. The Schiopetto family has been in the wine business for three generations. Mario Schiopetto founded this legendary estate in 1965, producing wines that would eventually inspire the entire wine industry. Since his death, his children Maria, Angela, Carlo and Giorgio have demonstrated their commitment to running the family winery. The Schiopetto family's 75 acres of vineyards cover the estate surrounding the former residence of the Bishop of Gorizia in Capriva del Friuli, and the Podere dei Blumeri in the Rosazzo hills that form part of the eastern hills of Friuli. Since the beginning Schiopetto has set a standard of unrelenting quality that covers vineyard practice as well as vinification. The vines are planted in a unique soil type known locally as Ponca, which lends tremendous crushed-mineral clarity to the wines. The heart of the winery is the yeast room, which plays a vital role in the company's philosophy and production process. This is where the various types of yeast required to trigger fermentation are grown. Cutting edge technology is used to eliminate the risk of error and carry out the art of winemaking. Schiopetto is one of Italy's foremost white wine producers. It was selected by Wine & Spirits Magazine as Top 100 Winery of the Year in 2006, 2007 and 2009..

This wine is from Italy, Friuli-venezia Giulia region, Collio Goriziano Or Collio sub-region. Russiz Superiore is the pride of the Marco Felluga family. The family's winegrowing dynasty started in the late 1800s, when the current Marco Felluga's grandfather Marco recognized the terrain's potential for cultivating grapes. Russiz Superiore is located in Capriva del Friuli, in the heart of Collio. Its name comes from its position that rises above the surrounding hills. The estate extends over 250 acres of which 125 acres are planted to vineyards. The vineyards are located in 4 different villages in the Collio DOC - Farra, San Floriano, Oslavia and Cormons. Each hill has a unique microclimate and the soil is rich in marl, loam and sandstone called flysch. The fruit is all handpicked. The property is managed by Alessandra and Roberto Felluga, children of the Marco Felluga. The winemaker is Rafaella Bruno.. The grapes were cold macerated and fermented in stainless steel (85%) and oak (15%). The wine was aged for eight months on its lees and eight months in bottle.. Straw yellow in color with bright green highlights. Distinct aromas of almond blossoms with floral undertones of chamomile and a hint of green peppers. Well structured, silky, and refined. This full-bodied wine has a pleasant and long lasting finish. FRIULANO Wine Italian Still Wine
