The Refractometer is a portable, precision, optical instrument used for measuring the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) concentration. When a liquid sample is placed on the prism, the light passing through it is bent. The more concentrated the liquid, the more the light will bend. The Refractometer contains a reticle, or scale, that is enlarged through the eyepiece to measure this light. The values on the scale have been established to evaluate the DEF condition. EPA regulations require all diesel engines manufactured on or after January 1, 2010 to meet lowered NOx emissions standards. Most heavy duty engine (Class 7-8 trucks) manufacturers, have chosen to utilize SCR. This Includes Detroit Diesel (DD13, DD15, and DD16 models), Cummins (ISX line), PACCAR, and Volvo/Mack. SCR-equipped engines require the periodic addition of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF, a urea solution) to enable the process. DEF is available in a bottle from most truck stops, and some have installed bulk DEF dispensers near the Diesel Fuel pumps. However, to ensure the proper operation of the SCR system, operators must ensure the DEF in their vehicle consists of a 32.5 percentage Urea/Water solution. It makes this a simple and quick process for an operator or technician. Scale: 0.5 percentage, line graduations 32.5 percentage, indicated scale 15-40 percentage, waterline, and 20 degree Celsius kit includes Refractometer, dropper, lens wipe cloth, instructions and quick guide, screwdriver and case.

For diesel engines fitted with diesel particulate filter, specific LL-04 must be used whatever the country. Specific LL-04 is also suitable for use into diesel engines without diesel particulate filter. For gasoline engines, specific LL-04 is only recommended for use in European Union countries, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein. In those countries, specific LL-04 can be used where BMW LL-01, LL-01 FE or LL-98 is required except for M3 and M5. Refer to BMW recommendation. Engines compliant with EURO IV anti pollution regulation are fitted with sensitive systems for exhaust gas post treatment since sulphur and phosphorus inhibit catalytic convertors operation and can damage catalytic components resulting in inefficient exhaust gas treatment. Sulphated ashes clog diesel particulate filters thus shortening it's regenerating cycle, higher fuel consumption and engine power loss. Pure Diesel Power is proud to release the "Evil Twin" dual cp3 kit for the 2003-2007 Cummins equipped Dodge Rams. The kit is designed for the do-it-yourselfer and can be installed with the basic mechanics tools. This kit is a basic kit that will require some minor work to install but for the most part is very straight forward. The kit is currently designed to be used with either a Duramax or Cummins CP3. The second CP3 must be supplied by the end user. Otherwise everything else is included in the kit that is needed for the install. The kit comes with the following: bracket for the second CP3 fittings for rail pressure sensor fitting for second high pressure line pulley for second CP3 serpentine belt CP3 controller mount for relocating APPS on required vehicles high pressure line for second pump fitting and lines to plumb return line from the second CP3 Vertical water neck for coolant hose is not included and needs to be purchased separately. Radiator Hose Modification is required for this kit to properly fit. There are numerous after-market fuel delivery systems available. You must notify us of what you are running for a fuel system so we can provide you with the right fittings to tie the system in. Many performance springs that are used on the Duramax engine are springs from another application that are adapted to fit. Using a spring designed for a gasoline application and on your Duramax does not address all of the problems associated with high rpm high boost diesel engines. Does the spring you are currently using require you to machine the head use different retainers or different spring cups? Chances are you are running a rebadged mass production gas spring. Manufacturers often do this because they either don’t have the money to design a spring or don’t know what your engine needs. In either case you could be running a spring designed for an entirely different engine and needs. Hamilton Cams Duramax springs were manufactured in the U.S.A. for the Duramax engine only! If you are running more rpm boost or a higher lift cam than factory then these springs will help you control your valves. By controlling your valves you will effectively eliminate valve float(when the valve is not in contact with the rocker) which allows the valve to hammer the seat or reversion that can occur when exhaust drive pressures open the exhaust valve on the intake stroke. These springs will handle engines running up to 5 000 rpm with up to .600” valve lift and up to 100psi boost! They do not require the purchase of any spring cups new style retainers or different locks. They will work with all of the factory hardware. If you are at the level that you need our valvesprings you would probably benefit from our performance pushrods.

This additive is to be added to the engine oil before drain. IT is designed to be used in all types of diesel and gasoline engines with injection or carburettors, with or without catalytic converter, using all kind of fuel. Motul engine clean effectively cleans the dirtying and clogging which happen in the engine. The removed micro-particles are then evacuated at the time of the oil drain. Motul engine clean provides a perfect lubrication during cleaning process. When added to engine oil before draining, it allows to lower the wear, decrease oil and fuel consumption and increases compressions on the same way on all the cylinders. It also decreases exhaust pollutants emissions, evacuates deposits, varnishes and other combustion residues from problem areas such as hydraulics lifters or piston grooves and rings, takes advantage of fresh oil which will fill engine after draining and increases the catalytic converter’s lifetime. The content of one can is sufficient for an oil capacity up to 5 litres. For higher capacities, 60 milliliters of engine clean is to be added per supplementary litre of engine oil over 5 litres.
