We put a lot of study and careful thought into developing our Deluxe Chess Coffer so that it would fit the largest club size chess sets and well beyond. We also wanted this coffer with features deserving of the finest chess sets such as our Alexander Staunton so we went the extra mile and used high quality billiard cloth for the lining and the best quality hardware we could find. Our Deluxe Coffer is the perfect way to store your prized chess set. It s not only a beautiful piece of furniture but it s the best way to store and protect your pieces. Our coffer has an upper and lower tray and we provide thick foam pads covered in billiard cloth that can be used hold the pieces in place when you close and lock the lid. Made from solid hardwood and veneers we stained this a deep mahogany cherry it looks wonderful with any chess set or decor. The overall dimensions are 17" x 10 3 4" x 6 1 4". Collectors will love this coffer and it is less expensive than smaller cheaper versions sold by other stores.
