This is an auction for 1/87th or HO scale model of a Terex ... Read more

This is an auction for 1/87th or HO scale model of a Terex 33-19 Titan Mine Truck. The model is made from brass and was produced by EMD. The item is out of production and was a limited production run. Features detailed interior, museum quaility details. Dump box is movable but because of the weight of the bed it will not stay in the raised position without assisitance. Front steering is posable and item has movable rubber tires. The Terex Titan was the largest mine truck on earth when it was announced at the Mine Expo show in 1974. This is a 350 Ton haul truck. Later in the life of this machine it was overhauled by it's new owner Westar. They repainted the truck in their corporate colors, removed the engine compartment doors and changed up some of the safety railings. From a model standpoint with the removal of the engine compartment doors that meant that the dual locomotive prime movers would need to be replicated and so the Westar version of this model includes engine detailing that is why it retails higher Minimize
