Rumors materialize... 27 years later! Luke Skywalker Lightsaber Replica from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi. Discover the missing scene where Luke constructed his lightsaber in a cave on Tatooine. Display your limited edition Reveal Lightsaber either closed or open! Ever since Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi was released in 1983, rumors have run rampant of a scene where Luke is constructing his new lightsaber in a cave on Tatooine, a scene that ended up on the cutting-room floor. These rumors now materialize... 27 years later! This one-of-a-kind Luke Skywalker Reveal Lightsaber Replica is constructed in aluminum, brass, and copper, with screen-accurate LED effects of red and green arrows. The weapon reproduction also features a glowing green crystal and comes with a numbered metal plaque and a certificate of authenticity. Display your awesome lightsaber either closed or open using the included eFX stand and base! Limited edition of 1,000 pieces! Lightsaber measures 18-inches long when fully opened, 11-inches long closed. Ages 13 and up. Like Big Foot, the mystery surrounding this 'missing scene' was so intriguing that it had become lore to Star Wars fans the world over. A lot of research by fans has been done, and little tidbits of information were found that may indicate the existence of this elusive scene, but there was nothing definitive. Even the storyboard that describes this scene was discovered, but there was still no evidence of the scene actually being filmed. Many believe that the lightsaber used in this scene may have been the weapon that is referred to as the 'MOM' lightsaber, which is the one that was on display at the Star Wars: The Magic of Myth exhibit at the National Air and Space Museum in 1997-1999, and then in the touring exhibit. This lightsaber had an accessible control box with a removable PCB cover. It also had a hole near the pommel, possibly for the wires.

"Jesus Awakens the Little Girl" was inspired by the stories in the Bible from the books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke that told of Jesus bringing the twelve-year-old daughter of a leader of the synagogue back from the dead. When most teenagers are forced to do anything against their will they can be pretty cranky and the one in this story is no exception. How might Jesus -- well-known for smoothly handling tax collectors, lepers, and even the devil himself -- deal with one of the most complex and troubling creatures known: a thirteen-year-old girl?Share this delightful tale with your family and friends, your youth group or community, or your theater group. It's laughter along with a positive reminder that we're all human, we all have questions, and God is there to listen to us with patience, understanding, and a sense of humor. And if you do not believe in Jesus, or believe that he was simply a nice guy who went around giving out free advice, hopefully you will enjoy the humor of this story and its glimpse into some of the impatient foibles common to all of us.Based on the successful stage play of the same name and on a popular story that appears in three of the Gospels, "Jesus Awakens the Little Girl" debuted at the Action On Film International Film Festival in Pasadena, California in July, 2010. The movie received an Honorable Mention at the Bayou City Inspirational Film Festival in Houston, TX in October 2010 and is currently being shown in the Faith Film Festival: http://netny.net/faithfilmfestival/web-exclusives/jesus-awakes-her/Starring Samantha Elizabeth Johnson and Paul Rogan. In this, he is a bilingual female singer who carries two speech databases, Japanese and English, as first trial, and attains to the total capacity of not less than 3 GB. Since the modern pop to which English is mixed with Japanese for which realization was difficult in the old source of vocal sound can be managed fluently and also it corresponds to worldwide music, a thing with high flexibility is the feature. Moreover, with the cool vocal quality recorded on the concept in "romantic and relaxing and husky female voice", the larger compass from an inside region to a high region is followed up, and it corresponds also to deep electronic music or a jazzy/bluesy sound from time-tested dance systems, such as House.

The epic battle of Yavin was the first major victory for the Rebel Alliance against the evil Galactic Empire. In the climactic scene of this battle, Luke Skywalker, with the Force now his ally, maneuvered his X-wing fighter down a trench to a small thermal exhaust port, the only known weakness of the dreaded Death Star. In pursuit, Darth Vader prepared to fire upon Luke and R2-D2...when out of nowhere, Han Solo came to their rescue in the Millennium Falcon! Darth Vader's TIE Fighter was spun off into space, allowing Luke to fire his proton torpedo, just as the Death Star moved into range to destroy the Rebel base on the 4th moon of Yavin. The torpedo set off a explosive chain-reaction, which destroyed the Imperial super-weapon, and won the day for the Rebel Alliance. In a grand ceremony, Princess Leia presented the Medal of Yavin to Luke Skwalker and Han Solo, the heroes of the Batle of Yavin. Made of real metal, and featuring high-quailty workmanship, Master Replicas is proud to offer this authentic and accurate scaled replica of this prestigious award, to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars.

The teaming of Johnny Knoxville (Jackass: The Movie) and Seann William Scott (Dude, Where's My Car?) as well as the presence of the '70s-flavored car chases that were a specialty of the TV series guarantees that The Dukes of Hazzard will be even more lowbrow than the CBS TV series (1979-85) that inspired it. However, this brain-damaging comedy is more "rehash" than "remake," as good ol' Georgia boys Luke Duke (Knoxville) and his cousin Bo (Scott) are frequently upstaged by the General Lee, the Confederate-flagged '69 Charger that they drive, jump, race, and fly in as they smuggle moonshine for their Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson). Meanwhile, cousin Daisy Duke (Jessica Simpson) is reliably available to model her short-shorts (aka "Daisy Dukes") and awesome figure (and let's face it, Simpson's talents pretty much begin and end right there), while corrupt honcho Boss Hogg (Burt Reynolds, who should know better) recruits a local NASCAR star to advance his wily scheme of converting Hazzard County into a strip mine. Director Jay Chandrasekhar (Super Troopers) manages to mine some good-natured humor from the movie's oval-track detour and a few colorful supporting players (notably Kevin Hefferman as the Duke's pal Sheev). Otherwise, consider yourself warned: The Dukes of Hazzard is shameless Hollywood product at its most forgettable, trafficking in shameless white, rural Southern stereotypes. If you can make it to the end, there's a blooper reel to reward your endurance. --Jeff Shannon

In his "Lives of the Artists", Vasari wrote: "While we may term other works paintings, those of Raphael are living things, the flesh palpitates, the breath comes and goes, every organ lives, life pulsates everywhere." In this extensively illustrated book featuring some 300 illustrations, the author takes a critical look at the life and work of Rafaello Sanzio, or as he signed certain paintings, Raphael Urbinas, in homage to his native city of Urbino. Described as "an artist touched by grace," he is considered, along with Michelangelo and Leonardo, to be one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance. Raphael (1483-1520), whose birth and death were on a Good Friday, belonged to a family of merchants; aside from his training in the studio of Perugino, little is known about his earliest years. He arrived in Florence in 1504, where he studied the masters and produced magnificent paintings of the Madonna, as well as remarkable portraits. In 1508 he went to Rome, where he died a dozen years later at the height of his powers, after creating monumental works at the Vatican. De Vecchi re-examines the scholarship surrounding each of the major periods of Raphael's short career, dispelling the myths about him that have accumulated over the centuries. He reminds us that the most "profound" element of Raphael's art was his striving to express the dialectic between earthly and heavenly love, an important concern of his contemporaries. The coverage of the text extends beyond the paintings to Raphael's significant work as an architect and designer of interiors.

When he was born, Michelangelo Buonarroti was put into the care of a stonecutter's family. He often said it was from them that he got his love of sculpture. It certainly didn't come from his own father, a respectable magistrate who beat his son when he asked to become an artists apprentice. But Michelangelo persevered. His early sculptures caught the attention of Florence's great ruler, Lorenzo de' Medici, who invited the boy to be educated with his own sons. Soon after, Michelangelo was astonishing people with the lifelike creations he wrested from marble--from the heartbreaking Pieta he sculpted when he was only twenty-five to the majestic David that brought him acclaim as the greatest sculptor in Italy.Michelangelo had a turbulent, quarrelsome life. He was obsessed with perfection and felt that everyone--from family members to his demanding patrons--took advantage and let him down. His long and difficult association with Pope Julius II yielded his greatest masterpiece, the radiant paintings in the Sistine Chapel, and his most disastrous undertaking, the monumental tomb that caused the artist frustration and heartache for forty years. With her thoroughly researched, lively narrative and superbly detailed illustrations, Diane Stanley has captured the life of an artist who towered above the late Renaissance--and whose brilliance in architecture, painting, and sculpture amazes and moves us to this day.Children's Books 2000-NY Public Lib., Books for Youth Editor's Choice 2000 (Booklist), Lasting Connections 2000 (Book Links), Best Books 2000 (School Library Journal), Top 10 Youth Art Books 2000 (Booklist), and Notable Children's Trade Books in the Field of Social Studies 2001, National Council for SS & Child. In Table Talk, one pilgrim shares his attempt to grasp the Gospel of Luke, based on his own journeys through the lectionary as a writer, teacher and disciple. These reflections will help spark the Sunday conversation about Luke around the parish table: the homilist who will preach on it, the catechist who will teach it to children, the RCIA team who will lead candidates through a discussion of that weeks passage or individual disciples looking for a companion on their day-to-day journey to Emmaus. Jay Cormier draws upon his 20-plus years experience as editor of Connections to cast the Gospel stories in a contemporary setting through a series of reflections that will provoke Table Talk insightful reflection about Gods Word as it is proclaimed at the table of the Lord. He follows the pericopes of both the Roman Catholic lectionary and the common lectionary used by many Protestant churches. Gods word contains multiple layers of meaning. In Jay Cormiers Table Talk, the reader will find new insights, see connections to real life and hear a call to a more mature discipleship. Table Talk is more than a simple conversation. It is a call to live the Christian life more fully. Bishop Robert F. Morneau

Yet we moderns miss much of the meaning of Lukes two-part drama because we read it like any other text and not as it would have been heard by ancient listeners - in public performance by a skilled storyteller. The Way according to Luke unlocks the big picture of Jesus mission by attending to the repetition, patterns, and other clues of oral narrative. In this single volume Paul Borgman lays out a holistic view of the organic unity between Luke and Acts while demonstrating that the meaning of Luke-Acts is uniquely embedded in its narrative. Borgmans distinctive work makes available both the satisfying pleasure of reading the Bible as great literature and the rewarding insight gained from receiving Scripture as it was originally delivered.

His father and mother were amazed at what was being said about Him." Luke 2:33 "Everyone was amazed at all the things He was doing." Luke 9:43 "He went home, amazed at what had happened." Luke 24:12 From start to finish, the book of Luke is filled with amazement. Throughout the life and ministry of Jesus, those who met him were astonished by their encounter, from the shepherds at the nativity to the disciples at the empty tomb. With careful attention to detail, Michael Card embarks on an imaginative journey through the Gospel of Luke. He introduces us to Luke the historian and imagines his life as a Gentile, a doctor and a slave. Card explores Luke’s compelling account of this dynamic rabbi who astounded his hearers with parables and paradoxes. What might Luke have experienced as he interviewed eyewitnesses of Jesus? What leads Luke to focus on the marginalized and the unlikely? Why does Luke include certain details that the other Gospel writers omit? Join Michael Card in the work of opening heart and mind to the "Gospel of Amazement.

The Acts of the Apostles -- for children Marigold Hunt, author of A Life of Our Lord for Children, here continues the tale of Jesus and His Church by retelling for children the events reported in The Acts of the Apostles, St. Luke s account of the dangerous early days of the Church. Focusing on the deeds and experiences of Sts. Peter, Paul, Luke, and Barnabas, author Hunt shows children that the Catholic Church which today seems so ancient and established was born in turbulent times, when merely professing belief in Christ could get you killed -- and not by rowdies and brigands, but by public officials carrying out their sworn duty. Time and again, the apostles wind up in jail (some for years), and time and again God frees them by miracles of one sort or another. With Christian hope and great good cheer, they take up again the task with which Christ charged them just before He ascended into Heaven: Go forth and teach all nations. By foot, on horseback, and on frail craft tossed in stormy seas, they do just that, preaching and teaching their way across much of the known world, winning converts and establishing churches in Palestine, Crete, Cyprus, Malta, Phoenicia, the lands that are now Turkey, and even in Rome itself, the pagan capital of the anti-Christian Empire. Along the way, the apostles heal the sick, cast out devils, and work other miracles. They face down mobs, evade murder plots, and defend themselves in courts in city after city. In the midst of it all, Peter -- whose authority as the first Pope was accepted by all of the apostles - settles disputes that arise among the Christians and between the new Churches. All this and more is told in The First Christians, the thrilling -- and true -- saga of the lives and works of the first apostles of Jesus.
