Finish off your bombproof DH build with the Chris King NoThreadset inch-and-a-half Headset. Chris King designed this headset from the ground up to meet the demands of today's downhillers and freeriders. Not only will the stainless steel cartridge bearings handle any abuse you can throw at it, but King has upped the game with the PreLoader. The PreLoader takes the place of the traditional star nut and uses a solid rod that runs from the cap bolt all the way to the end of the steerer tube, underneath the fork crown. King says this technology increases durability and impact-resistance, and helps the NoThreadset live up to its ten-year warranty.

Shuffle through the gears on a built Vassago Bandersnatch Frame, and consume savory singletrack. The tight-handling WetCat geometry rolls with stability at high speeds, hooks up on gravelly climbs, and kicks sand in the face of conventional 29ers. Vassago not only dialed the Bandersnatch with a rowdy-trail-smoothing tube set to create a comfy ride, it also enhanced the Rtech tubing for quick acceleration when you drop the hammer.

Mount the Light & Motion Stella 300 to your handlebar, hook the Seca 1400 up to your helmet, and BLAMMO! It's day again! The huge 1,700-lumen output means you can ride just about anything, from street to singletrack, in the dead of night with maximum visibility. The 300 tracks with your bike, while the 1400 moves with your head. The separate light sources reduce the scary shadows that make small bumps look huge, as well as illuminate where you are going, not just where your bars are pointing.

It's hard not to smile when seeing Salsa skewers. The original incarnation of Salsa was run by a guy who always found a way to make bike parts fun. The Salsa Stainless Suspension Flip-offs first came about when everyone else was "serious" about gram shaving. The original flip-offs were advertised as "Light. Functional. Expensive." It was a jibe at the "slow" releases some of the ultralight skewer sets really were. The levers came in a variety of anodized colors, including the mixed-color "Rasta" set. Nowadays, Salsa has progressive new owners, but the vibe is still there and the skewers are still great. The Rasta set still exists, too. The lever has a sculpted look that is both elegant and makes opening and closing the lever easy. Great colors, too. The rods on this set are stainless steel, not as light as titanium, but Salsa doesn't recommend using ti rods with suspension elements.
