If it's time to consider a new lid, take a look at all the features of the Louis Garneau Quartz Helmet.Garneau built the Quartz using In-Mold construction, which means the outer shell has been permanently fused to the impact-absorbing EPS foam liner. This process enhances the effectiveness of both parts. In fact, the fusion process actually reinforces those formerly vulnerable spots around the vents and ribs. It results in a lighter, more durable, and better-ventilated helmet.The Quartz also makes use of Garneau's MSB (monocoque structural base) technology. The monocoque structural base runs along the perimeter of the helmet, which increases the overall strength and prevents the helmet from shattering on impact.
