Black Diamond Havoc Skis - 2010 Closeout -- Save on Black Diamond at REI-Outlet. Black Diamond Havoc Skis - 2010 Closeout | The Black Diamond Havoc skis require low effort to turn yet are still hard-carving boards for fast descents on all types of snow. CNC-machined poplar wood core balances lively pop with a smooth, stable feel. Torsion Box technology creates unsurpassed torsional rigidity by forming a multilayer topsheet over the 3D core. Dual Torsion Bow technology features 2 ribs that run the length of the ski to effectively distribute power throughout the ski. Power distributed toward the tips and tails and smooth longitudinal flex create a forgiving, stable ride. Power Series ski construction features more layers of fiberglass than the Efficient Series, resulting in greater torsional power. Integrated 3D damping smooths out the jitters for a comfortable, secure feel at high speeds. High-speed sintered bases feature a cross-hatch stone grind for a balance of durability, glide and maintenance. K2 Sight Skis - Men's - 2011/2012 -- The K2 Sight skis are light and agile, offering stable and reliable performance, no matter where you ride on the mountain. The K2 Sight offers a forgiving flex that smooths out bumps and landings without sacrificing stability. Aspen wood core is inherently strong and durable, and it produces a smooth, natural flex. Triaxial braiding wraps an interlocking fiberglass weave around the wood core providing torsional stiffness, responsive turning and high sensitivity. Directional taper features a moderately wider tip than tail to maximize performance when skiing forward. TwinTech Sidewalls increase durability and creates a direct power transfer to edges of ski. Beefy 3.5mm steel edges and metal tip and tail rivets withstand hard landings and big impacts on the mountain. K2 recommends using the Sight skis for 70% all mountain and 30% park skiing. ... Read more
Designed for tough terrain where high responsiveness is essential, the Tecnica Bushwacker ski boots deliver performance to match your big-mountain attitude. Lightweight triaxial shell material offers precision, stiffness and power transfer designed for advanced, experienced skiers. Soft plastic over instep makes it easy to spread shell, and a slick heel insert makes it easy to get your feet in the boots. Ski/hike mechanism increases range of motion when hiking uphill, then locks down cuffs when you're ready to ski. Custom-moldable liners offer superior heel hold and foot envelopment; materials enhance fit, performance and comfort. Helping you rebound out of a turn, a metal plate connects the cuffs to the lower shell and helps control the flex of the boots. Neoprene toe boxes increase warmth in feet and absorb vibrations. Loop on tongues help you put boots on and correctly seat the tongues. 3-buckle closure features a versatile range of adjustment, and a specially designed cuff catch features a comfortable position used for walking. Instep catch is hinged, allowing excellent pressure distribution; plus, it pivots away from the shell, letting the shell spread for easy entry. 45mm rip-and-stick power strap provides effective cuff closure and efficient energy transmission. Rip-and-stick attachment system allows you to set the rear spoiler at different heights for personal preference, or it can be removed completely. Cuff alignment matches the angle of the cuff with the shape of the lower leg, increasing comfort and performance. Shock-absorbent boot boards soften landings and absorb vibrations. Rubber insert on the arch of the boots enhances traction during hikes or when riding a snowmobile. 110 flex index provides the responsive power transfer preferred by aggressive, expert skiers. The 98 - 100mm footbed of the Tecnica Bushwacker ski boot fits AA - D width feet.
