I recently bought a Sony CCD-TRV308 Hi8 Camcorder.So far so good.I have been a Sony fan for a long time,because Japanese products are known to last forever and are very well built.e.g. Toyota,Honda,Nissan etc..Back to the Camcorder,It comes with a 2.5inch LCD screen,which is average compared to my other camcorder(CCD-TRV608)which has a 3 inch LCD screen.
The TRV308 is extremely easy to use,you can be taping with it within minutes of buying it.It also comes with image stabilization which the TRV108 doesn't have.Make sure to get a camcorder that has image stabilization.It really stops all the shake.It also has the night shot which allows you to tape at night,which I think is really nice.Sony's CCD-TRV308 Handycam Camcorderalso has a built-in video light and SteadyShot Picture Stabilization System.
Taking great video is a snap (and easier on the eyes) with the 2-1/2" Color SwivelScreen LCD (61K pixels). As you record, the monitor flips out to help you frame your shots easily and enablesyou to see what you're recording effortlessly. And when you're done, the LCD monitor folds flat against the camcorder for instant playback.Its definately a very well built Camcorder that is easy to use.If I was you,I would go to Best buy,Walmart or one of these stores and try playing with it and see if you like it,but I say go for it.Here are the specs:
