anolog in/out, beautiful piece of design

Pros: anology in/out, compact, confortable
Cons: digital still is fussy. small lens diameter, hard to find filters
first of all, it's from sony. so expect beautiful design and perfect presicion built quality. movie quality is great for a non-professional model, zeiss lens rocks. the still images does not really stand out, and lots of times fuzzy, but good enough for low-res. use.
the battery lasts 2.5 to 3 hours, good enough for most of day trips. of course, you probably want to buy an extra one for backup. the sony unique night-shot function is extremely useful in dark settings, so is the slow shutter option.
most useful function of all, the analog-in/out. this means you can easily record tv programs or part of movie clips from tv/vcr or any other analog sources. then you can transfer to your computer - digitize w/ firewire is fantastic if you have the right equipment.
so in general, i have compared the video quality from trv10 with the ones from canon or jvc, sony is by far much better - saturated color, crisp image, and great audio recording. though for more professional use, i would spend more to get the trv900. otherwise, this is a perfect little machine to carry around. besides, the price has dropped quite a bit on this model.
