The top back is steam bent and is rounded across the top, for form and comfort. The two smaller backs are steam bent as well for added support for your lower back. The chair is mortise and tenon construction on all joints; all edges are rounded and sanded. The seat is saddled for contour and comfort. Overall this chair is larger by about 2" in width than the average Solid Oak chairs, and can accommodate the largest student, or adult. Glides are available upon request. Made in the USA.
