The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword introduces full motion control enabled by the Wii MotionPlus accessory, which synchronizes player movements with Link's actions while offering intuitive play control. With the Wii MotionPlus accessory, every movement of Link's sword matches the player's motion with exact precision. If players motion left to right, Link swings from left to right. The precision play control is applied to enemies as well, as players must contemplate strategy when battling opponents that actively try to defend against attacks. Minimize

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

~Summary~

Zelda Skyward Sword starts you off in a Knight school which you are part of. You begin the game meeting all the people then learning the basics on how to jump, dash, etc. Then you go find your lost bird (Loftwing) that a parentally Groose hides. After you find your bird (Loftwing) it’s time to fly with Zelda. After your done learning to fly your Loftwing then it’s time to win the Loftwing race. After you have won then you will have to jump off a big statue to practice landing for future landings. You and Zelda fly off together on your Loftwings and right before Zelda tells you something important a big tornado appears and takes Zelda, Link gets knocked off his Loftwing as well. Next you have to follow a ghost named Fi. Fi will tell you that you are to rescue Zelda. Link then has to take the sword out of the rock inside the goddess statue and lift it up into the sky to get power to the sword. Fi tells Link that he has to collect 3 tablets, one from each place. Link has to then travel to Faron Woods, Eldin Volcano, and Lanayru Desert to get to the next part of the game. After Link is finished with all three locations he obtains the harp. Link brings it back to the old lady in Faron Woods and plays it. After Link plays the harp The Imprisoned One appears and you have to defeat it. Link then has to go through the three Silent Realms to obtain special tools for later in the game. Finally after all the quests, battles, temples, and defeating Ghirahim then your final battle is at task. You have to face Demise which is the master of Ghirahim. After you have defeated Demise them Impa must return to her time and also Fi must leave to, but not until Link and Zelda get back to the Goddess statue. Fi says her goodbyes and also mentions even though she cannot understand the human mind that she has had feelings of happiness throughout her journey with Link. Fi puts herself into the Goddess sword and says goodbye. Zelda and Link meet on the top of the Goddess statue and Zelda says, “What about you, Link? What will you do now?”

~The Game Controls~

The game controls are probably the best out of all the Zelda games. Holding the wii remote and swinging it is like swinging a real sword. The controls are very accurate and easy to learn. In the game you obtain the harp from Zelda. In the game you are allowed to play the harp as much as you want. The harp is also a great way to earn rupees. Using the harp is really easy, all you do is hold down A to strum then move back and forth to play it. In the past game “The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess” the only type of musical thing was the grass to call your horse which makes Skyward Sword a more excellent game for an instrument. A lot of people say Skyward Sword is easier to control, not only that, but the equipment is also better in the game.

~The Equipment and Items~

In this game you are given very unique equipment such as the slingshot, bug net, beetle, bombs, gust bellows, whip, claw shots, bow, sailcloth, digging mitts, goddesses harp, water dragons scale, seed satchel, earrings, bomb bag, and Quiver. All these items that you can carry with you pretty much have to be used in the game. In the game you start off with the Practice sword then work your way up to get the Master sword so you can defeat Demise. Also you get shields in the game, you start off with the wooden shield and work your way up to the Hylian shield which is also very useful for the final battle. In this game you are also given medals such as the heart, life, bug, treasure, rupee, and cursed medals. All of these medals can help in some way in the game based on their title. Like every game you are able to buy potions like the heart, stamina, air, revitalizing, and guardian potions. The potions can be very expensive sometimes, but if you want to heal yourself for free then go find a fairy and capture it in either you bug net or jar.

~Bugs and Treasure~

In Skyward Sword, all throughout the game it is likely to run into bugs and treasures. Collecting bugs and treasures can be used to upgrade potions and equipment or you can sell them for big bucks depending on what you have. If you found some bugs that you want to sell then your going to have to sleep until night and  go talk to Strich. Strich loves to collect bugs, he will buy them right off you, but he will only buy 4 kinds of bugs each night in random order. If you have treasure and want to make some money you will have to sleep till night as well and go talk to Rupin at his house. Like Strich he will only buy 4 types of something each night in random order so you might have to sleep a couple nights to get what you want. If you don’t feel like selling you treasure then go to Gondo where he will upgrade your gear to make them better.

~What I Think~

This is my favorite Zelda game of all time. I have played every Zelda game made and this is the most easiest to control. The story is pretty good and the game does get you thinking a little. The monsters are pretty easy which makes the game fun. Collecting all the treasure and bugs are a challenge sometimes though, but overall it was an experience. My favorite part of the game was using the harp. The harp was really easy to use and fun. I was able to play along with the Lumpy Pumpkin and play it to some other tunes. The only thing I didn’t like about the game was the silent realms, I thought they were kind of scary in my opinion. The equipment in the game was fun to. I messed around a lot with the gear. Overall the game was worth it!
