The RockboxTM The Red DogTM is a distinctive distortion pedal with volume and gain controls to easily dial in tones from a tweed-like overdrive to aggressive punch. The Red Dog was originally voiced to work best as an "always on" distortion and respond to picking dynamics and the volume knob on a guitar. In recent auditions by our family of artists, however, we are finding that the Red DogTM is also a great distintive solo machine with a signature note bloom and immediacy not present in other distortion devices, especially above the 12th fret. The Red DogTM is also a superior solo machine when placed after the Boiling PointTM, with the Boiling PointTM set to mild clean boost. If you are a volume knob player, you will love how this pedal will clean up for a thick, classic rhythm sound. The Red DogTM is built using the finest audiophile grade components we can find, with minimum signal path interference for a very present response. Final assembly of our effects are followed one final test: Each finished pedal is auditioned using the best test we know of - we listen to it. In fact the BP-16 is the identical preamplifier section from the B-100. Technical specifications are identical to the B-100 amplifier section (see pg 8). This provides a very cost effective solution for us to manufacture a full-featured versatile preamplifier for our customers. The BP-16 is a state of the art analog stereo preamplifier which utilizes ‘software’ control. The software allows us to provide many more features and functions while still adhering to traditional fully discrete analog circuits throughout the preamplifier. An example of how innovative this new BP-16 is at maintaining the superiority of discrete analog class A circuits while taking advantage of the ‘software control’ is in our new digitally controlled volume. The digitally controlled volume utilizes a resistance network on a chip. This technology in reference to the signal path is still implemented in the analog mode. Utilization of Yamaha's Air Seal system allows for the first time use of oak in a drum shell. The bass drum shell is 7-plys while the toms and floor tom shells are 6-plys. All shells throughout the entire range deliver a solid fundamental and powerful sound. Oak Custom shell depths are sized in between our 'jazz' depth and 'power' depth drums. Oval-shaped lugs are easily attached to the shell with a single bolt. Small footprints offer minimum lug to shell contact allowing the shell to deliver maximum tone. A special nylon insert prevents tension rods from becoming loose during play. Sizes include: 22' x 17' bass drum 10' x 8' & 12' x 9' rack toms and a 16' x 16' floor tom.
