New Artist Series guitars from Alvarez look stunning and come in a huge variety of shapes, colors and wood choices. All of their components are made of natural materials such as mother of pearl and abalone inlays, real bone saddles and nuts and rosewood appointments. But the magic really starts when you pick one up and play it. Each model is designed to get the best out if its components, and for them to work together to produce a tone and player experience, rarely found in affordable instruments. The solid ‘A’ grade Sitka spruce and cedar tops are hand selected from quarter-sawn wood. This ensures consistent quality, and its no secret better guitars are made from better wood. Our tops not only look great but they are stiff and strong and finely grained. This allows us to cut them just that tiny bit thinner, which lets them dance a little more and produce a lot more vibration, and ultimately a richer tone.

We're proud to announce the arrival of two new Custom Artist Edition guitars: the Martin JSO! Sing Out Pete Seeger (6-string see SKU# H71003) and the Martin J12SO! Sing Out Pete Seeger (12-string). The guitars mark the 60th anniversary of Sing Out!, the magazine, songbook publisher and syndicator of traditional music radio shows that Seeger helped found in 1950. To mark this milestone, no more than 120 of these guitars are being built, signed by both Seeger and Martin Chairman and CEO Christian Frederick (Chris) Martin IV.For more than 70 years, Seeger has embraced and championed traditional American music, as a member of the Almanac Singers in the 1940s, the Weavers in the 1950s and recently, as a solo artist. The 12-String J12SO! is inspired by Seeger's personal 12-string guitars, the first two of which were custom built by Liverpool luthier and engineer G. Stanley Francis; with later, evolved versions crafted by Connecticut luthier Bruce A. Taylor. The J12SO! model has Martin's Grand Jumbo body style, built of solid woods. The top is built of Sitka spruce, East Indian rosewood on the back and sides, a genuine mahogany neck with unadorned black ebony fingerboard, and a polished East Indian rosewood headplate. The headplate includes the familiar gold C. F. Martin & Co. logo, as well as a banjo sketch drawn by Seeger and a replica of his signature inlaid in mother of pearl. The unique and distinctive triangular sound hole is surrounded by a black/white/black/white fine line rosette, and the top of the sound hole is encircled by bold herringbone purfling and grained ivoroid binding. Both models are finished with a polished gloss lacquer finishes, with aging toner on the tops to enhance their vintage style and are protected in Vintage Series Geib-style hardshell cases. Each of the limited edition (120) custom guitars will be numbered in sequence with the edition's total number produced.Since 1950, Sing Out!'s mission has been to preserve and support the cultural diversity and heritage of all traditional and contemporary folk music, and to encourage making folk music a part of our everyday lives.Model: J12SO sing out 60th Pete SeegerConstruction: mahogany blocks dovetail neck jointBody size: grand j-14 fretTop: solid sitka spruceRosette: single ringBack material: solid East Indian rosewoodSide material: solid East Indian rosewoodBinding: grained ivoroidTop inlay style: gold herringboneNeck shape: modified low ovalHeadstock: solid/diamond/square taperScale length: 27.5''Number of frets clear: 15Number of frets total: 21Fingerboard width at nut: 1-3/4''Bridge material: black ebonyBridge style: stauffer style pyramidTuning machines: Grover chrome enclosed w/ small buttonsPickguard: black - 2pc. At the 2004 IBMA show, Bob Carlin and Wayne met to discuss the possibilities of a signature model 12" openback banjo. The features requested by Bob were a 12" pot assembly, scooped ebony fingerboard, specific neck profile dimensions and a nut width of 1-5/16”, a rolled brass tone ring, and a No Knot tailpiece. Bob personally made a trip to our Florida factory for the designing where Bob and Wayne discussed every possible specification and tested prototypes. Every detail was fine tuned. Decided features included a 12” Renaissance banjo head, the mock dowel stick/coordinator rod configuration, a custom headstock design with ebony overlay and recessed truss rod cover, the GT Master planetary tuners, and the “hot dog” armrest. In order to complete the project, Gold Tone would invest in all new 12" tooling to assure perfectly fitted parts. A year later we introduced.... the Gold Tone Bob Carlin Signature Model BC-350! Bob Carlin is most well known in the banjo world for his incredible tone. The Gold Tone BC Series featuring the 12” body provides Bob with more mid-range and bass response than the standard 11” designs. Whether you are new to openback banjo or want to add a new sound to your banjo arsenal, the BC-350 is an excellent choice!

Soon after the T5 hit the market in 2005, the music industry press nominated it for Electric Guitar of the Year. And Acoustic Guitar of the Year. Which pretty much sums it all up: the T5 is an electric/acoustic that defines the hybrid category. Today, the versatile T5 is the top-selling semi-hollow body guitar and the only one that uses all-magnetic pickups for both its electric and acoustic tones. That means real acoustic tones, real electric tones, and everything in between. The T5 also features proprietary Taylor pickups, 5-Way switch, and Taylor T-Lock™ neck joint.

Features:What makes the Shubb capo so special? For one thing, its ingenious design: a patented locking action which provides an unrivalled combination of power, speed, accuracy and ease of use. One smooth flip of the lever locks it securely in place... and removes it just as quickly. And the Shubb capo doesn't create tuning problems. Its soft, resilient rubber is specially designed to work just like a fingertip, so it doesn't bend the strings over the frets. Its closing action is just like your hand, so it doesn't pull the string off center. As a result, no re-tuning is necessary! Model: SC3N Manufacturer: Shubb
