A controller is used to read and correct temperature in environments such as pilot process plants, research and development labs, and for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements in quality control (QC) laboratories, education and research lab testing facilities. This temperature controller accepts thermocouple, resistance temperature detectors (RTD), or thermistor input for range of compatibility, and has a two-line alphanumeric LED that simultaneously displays measured value and set point. The front-panel display also indicates output and alarm conditions. It has a selectable scale to read in degrees C, F, K (Kelvin), and R (Rankine) for flexible use. Its nonvolatile, Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) setup and operational parameters are programmed to save data, even during power loss. The sensor-calibrate function corrects for individual probe error. The controller is programmable at multiple control modes such as on/off, and it has proportional integral derivative (PID) auto-tune control. This feature, also called three-term control, calculates error values between a measured process variable, and desired set-point for accuracy control. A supportive bracket at the base of the unit helps to position the controller for ease of operation and reading. The controller can also be used in a panel mount with bracket system (sold separately). It monitors one input which can be one of eight different thermocouple types with a mini-connector. Controller comes with an IEC cord set and receptacle. A controller reads parameters, and automatically adjusts the solution to the programmed set points. It is used to monitor and control parameters in process water, wastewater treatment, chemical processes, and aquaculture applications.
