Gears of War 3 Computer Game
UPDATED: The hype for Gears of War 3 was insane. This was it, the ending to the Marcus Fenix trilogy, and it was heck of a ride. The campaign was VERY cinematic, and it kept me pulled in from the start. There are moments in the game when I was like "Yeah Baby" and there were some parts to vulgar for this review. While the campaign was great, I felt that the previous two games had more cinematic campaigns then this one. The multiplayer is polished and it has been improved dramatically since the Gears of War 2 online. The online in Gears of War 3 is fair and it has dedicated servers. No more host abilities. The new character cameos and gun camos are a great condition, too. There are also new game modes such as Capture the Leader (CTF and guardian combined). The event calendar is a neat addition. This calendar tells you when the Gears event will happen and has a description for it. Horde 2.0 is fun and addicting. Horde was already great in Gears 2, but when they added Tower defense to the formula, I was blown away. Horde 2.0 will keep you intrigued for hours at a time. Beast Mode is like Horde, but you play as the locust. In Beast mode, you start out as the lowest tier which includes tickers and wretches. As you destroy barricades and kill the stranded, heroes, and CoG; You will increase your tier. As you unlock the final tier, EPIC gives you a treat...The Berserker. The first Gears of War was known for saving the third-person genre. Gears of War 3 proved that third-person shooters are going to stick around for a couple of years. Gears of War have perfected the gun N' run. There are so many reasons why I love this game, one of which is the story. The graphics are superior on the Xbox 360. These graphics could pass to be the future. The online is polished and will keep you playing. The 4 player campaign is a great new addition, too. The horde is a great alternative and the beast mode is a great cahnge of pace. If you are a fan of the third-person stooters genre, I highly recommend this game to you.
