Kartell 7070 Piero Lissoni (Seregno 1956) graduated in architecture in Milan in 1985. In 1986 he opened his industrial design, interior architecture and graphic design studio. He has worked for many Italian design houses, not only in the field of product design but also of coordinated image, communication campaigns and the creation of show rooms. He has recently branched out into architecture, with numerous projects for private homes and hotels in Italy and abroad, for example in Venice (Monaco and Grand Canal), Zurich (Al Porto), Istanbul (Bentley design hotel) and Bangkok. Carlo Tamborini was born in Milan, 1958. After studying at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, he began designing packaging and display systems. He collaborated with various architecture studios and in 1997 he began work at the studio of Piero Lissoni in Milan as Design Manager. In 1998 he co-founded the Codice 31 group. Since 1999 he has been designing lights and interior furnishings for companies such as: Fontana Arte, Pallucco, MOS by Cover, and Glas Italia. The highly customizable Pop series is the first infinitely repeatable, easy-to-dismantle modular seating collection. The frame of all the seating pieces is made of endlessly combinable transparent polycarbonate modules, allowing you to perfectly accommodate the needs of your home, office or public establishment. Pieces can be combined in any way imaginable or simply stand alone. Artek 136500 Ben af Schultén (born 1939) had a long career as artistic director at Artek, during which he designed a wide range of stylish furniture and lighting pieces. Ben af Schultén's career at Artek started as a design student. In the year 1964, he was appointed as interior architect at the Artek Drawing studio. The main task of Artek's Drawing studio was to take care of the product development of Artek. Work at the studio focused on utilizing the Aalto archive and creating new products to complement the collection. In the year 1976 Ben af Schultén was appointed Artistic Director for Artek. As Artistic Director, design work was only a part of his job description. However, during the years it came to be a substantial part of his work. The furniture he designed for Artek is suitable for use in any combination with the Aalto furniture or by itself. The clear shapes, genuine materials, natural colors and Finnish wood that characterize his furniture ensure that the pieces fit in with the rational Artek interior design tradition.
