A stylish little player

Pros: A nice looking player with loads of features
Cons: A scratch and fingerprint magnet
The Bottom Line:
This player looks great, sounds great, and it's light on the pocket and wallet. Give it a shot!
I was looking for alternative to Ipod Nano because I never liked going through iTunes. I picked up an iRiver Clix and I must say it is pretty impressive.
The Clix comes with a clear and customizable screen which looks even better then the Nano. It has a click base that let's you navigate the player and it works quite well (you should give it a try before buying). It is also not that much heavier then it either (it is like comparing a small rock to a feather). The volume and playback is very well too. It comes with recording abilities and an FM tuner. It also has flash games.
There are downsides. You cannot listen to your music as you play flash games. Using the recorder really drains the battery life. It only works with Windows which is bad news for Mac fans looking for an Ipod alternative. Also the black top of the Player is very prone to fingerprints and can easily get scratches. You can also only charge through USB.
Overall, the good outweigh the bad. If you can looking for a 2 gig player with a ton of features you can't do any better then iRiver.
