Weighing in at just 3.6 ounces and showing off in three new shades, iPod mini fits your lifestyle and your bag, whether it be cocktail purse or messenger duffle. The chic, matte anodized aluminum case resists stains and scratches, all the while protecting your iPod mini from, say, the jostle of overzealous paparazzi. Recessed in the case to keep its surface pristine, the 1.67-inch (diagonal) backlit screen displays full song and album titles, artists names and more. And iPod mini lasts up to 18 hours on a single charge(1): enough for a transatlantic flight, the limo ride to your hotel and a few solid hours of boutique shopping. Of course, iPod mini works just as well for your everyday pursuits. With up to 25 minutes of skip protection, you can even walk the dog in style.

iPod Mini - Test
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Battery life +18 hours. Easy operation. Easy MP3 managing w/ Apple iTunes software.
Cons: None :)
The Bottom Line:
Small, good software/programming, good sound quality, price is good for 6 GB.
I was using my iPod and thought the battery wasn't really that good - too many reviews out there talk about the battery life being VERY poor. Well, I ran a test...started the iPod at one time and left it playing...18 hours and 20 minutes later, the iPod is still playing music! My brother has the 20 GB one and my fiancee has the 4 GB one and they say the same about their battery life.
The menu is easy to use. The rating system is excellent for you to filter out those songs that you don't like so you can delete them if you want to...or else if your taste changes later you can change the rating! Sound quality is great too. The size of the player is great - perfect in the hand. Not only that, but it comes with iTunes software which is just as sleek & easy to use as all other Apple software/hardware. iTunes helps you organize your mp3s, rate them, sort them, make play-lists, shows you duplicated songs on your iPod so you can delete them, etc. Very user friendly!
I also purchased the iTrip - I thought it was FM radio receiver, but it's actually a transmitter which means that it will broadcast your iPod songs onto a FM station on your stereo or car system. Pretty cool! (Sound quality is similar to a radio broadcast). You can also hook this up to your car too through the tape deck (or those of you who have a BMW, you can install a hook up for your iPod! :D)
I'm VERY happy with my purchase, upgrading from my previous 256 MB MP3 player...I can't imagine going back.
