The Filtrete Dust & Pollen Reduction Filter 12x20x1 captures large airborne particles such as dust, pollen, lint, dust mite debris and mold spores. It is electrostatically charged and performs better than ordinary fiberglass and washable 1" filters. The Filtrete Dust and Pollen Filter is recommended for those concerned about airflow as it also features the lowest pressure drop of any 3M Filtrete brand filter. Filter Specifications: Listed Size: 12"x20"x1" 3M Performance Rating: 600 MERV Rating: 8 Filter Life: Up to 3 months 3M Part: 9869DC-6 Recommended Replacement: Filtrete dust and pollen reduction filters should be replaced at least once every three months. If a Filtrete furnace filter remains in use longer than three months, it may begin to restrict airflow. In addition, certain conditions in your home will significantly add particles to the air causing the filter to capture more particles than usual. This will shorten the filter life to less than three months and reduce the effectiveness of the filter to capture particles.
