The Glass VG is about 7 inches long and about 4 inches tall. It is made of thick-wall (2.5 mm wall) clear borosilicate glass from Schott Glass of Germany. Wall thickness varies from 2.5 - 5 mm, so it is very durable. It sits stably upright on a flat surface, so loading the bowl is easy. The glass VG has a stainless steel screen (the same screen used on the classic and handcarved pipes), made of 316 stainless steel. The 316 stainless alloy is the most inert and chemically stable alloy of stainless steel. The screen can be removed if you prefer. We recommend using the screen because: 1) Unlike conventional smoking pipes the screen does not get hot enough to oxidize (i.e. chemically react with oxygen). Because it is not oxidized, the screen will not produce metallic flavors or contamination. 2) Vaporization works best with finely ground herbs, and a screen is the best way to hold the ground herbs because it will not clog. A single hole in glass will become clogged. 3) The screen provides more uniform airflow and uniform heating. This is critical for uniform vaporization. If you are a glass enthusiast, and prefer pipes with absolutely no metal, please consider using the glass VaporGenie with the stainless steel screen anyway. The stainless steel screen absolutely will not create metallic flavors or contamination like in conventional smoking pipes. Similarly, the retaining wire will also not produce metallic contamination because it is not excessively heated. Besides, what you really need to be worried about is toxic flint dust from flint lighters. How many people out there smoke from a glass pipe to avoid metal exposure and then use a flint lighter? Do NOT use a torch lighter with the glass VG because torch lighters tend to cause the tops to crack.

Any pastry chef will tell you, the best way to ensure that a cheesecake cooks evenly and doesn't develop cracks is to cook it in a water bath. This ensures a gently consistent, moist heat that cooks the cheesecake filling evenly. However - using a water bath can be tricky. Firstly you have to get a large pan of water into the oven, (hard to do without a lot of spills) then you have the issue of trying to keep your cheesecake dry. Most cheesecakes are made in Springform Pans - and even the best of these can allow water to seep in round the seams. You can use all sorts of elaborate tricks to try to seal a Springform Pan from the liquid in the water bath (aluminum foil etc) but the water has a way of seeping in and making your crust soggy. Well Chef Corky Rosen has come up with a brilliant solution - The CheesecakeMoat - an aluminum pan in 2 sections - an inner section for your cheesecake (in its own Springform pan) and an outer section in which you can put water. You just place your cheesecake in its Springform Pan in the center section of the pan, put water in the "moat" - the external section - and put the entire CheesecakeMoat in the oven. The moat section is sealed so the water cannot get into the Springform Pan - but you are getting all the benefits of cooking a cheesecake in a water bath. Voilà! Perfect cheesecake, with a perfect base - painlessly. Works with 8 inch, 9 inch or 10 inch Springform Pans. (Outer diameter of the CheesecakeMoat is 14", inner diameter is 12"). The CheesecakeMoat is made in the USA.

You'll find a garbage disposal and a microwave in this kitchen, but sorry, no dishwasher. Instead, designers borrowed the magic mop from the Fantasia set, and it does a dandy job on cleanup. The pantry is stocked with everything from fresh fruit to whole chicken, and kids can chop, cook, or puree almost all of it. Use something up and Mickey will drop by with replacement groceries. There are three activity areas in the kitchen: the Good Morning Grill, the Make-A-Cake Oven, and the Magic Recipe Box. They all involve point-and-click "cooking," except for the recipe box, which contains kid-friendly treats to cook in a real kitchen. Some of the more interesting-looking recipes were "Steak on a Stick" and "Skeleton Crudite and Dip for Brains." My Disney Kitchen is a lot like Disneyland. Wonderful to look at, fun to play in, but pretty two-dimensional when you really start nosing around. Aspiring Martha Stewarts might get frustrated when they can't warm a hot dog bun in the toaster, and mess makers will be disappointed when they leave the faucet on forever and the sink refuses to overflow.
