all in one that lives up to it's name

Pros: A complete office device, with capabilities that exceed the average for this type of printer.
Cons: Not unique here, the ink will be a real expense if you print a lot.
Bottom Line:
Do some research, read reviews at a couple of sites, and shop for price. You should consider this device as a very good office tool

The Hewlett Packard Officjet 8500A all-in-one wireless printer is the best printer Ive owned
| Author's Rating: |

Pros: Very fast, good print/scan quality, many useful features, Wireless installation worked, WPS, HP customer support.
Cons: Noisy, heavy, control panel arrived broken.
Bottom Line: I was surprised to see that this quite reasonably prized all-in-one printer has so many features, produces nice prints/copies/scans, and is so fast. Too bad I had an issue.
It's A Fax--It's A Scanner--It's A Printer--No!--It's The HP 8500A Plus

Pros: Typical HP Tank-Like Construction. It could take a few bullets and still keep printing.
Cons: The bargain price of the printer is eventually outweighed by the cost of ink cartridges.
Bottom Line:
At the $197 we bought this for, it has proven to be a blessing. For those who will be using this for heavier volume than 1250 Pages Per Month--look elsewhere.

HP 8500A Good for Light Printing, not a Heavyweight
| Author's Rating: |
|
Pros: Relatively small desktop "footprint" for All-in-One machine; good price
Cons: Ink hog, noisy, slow start-up time, print quality good but not great
Bottom Line:
A nice printer if you need color on occasion; not a good choice for someone with lots of regular color printing needs.
