All-American Heirloom Parsnip seeds is a hearty root crop with an excellent , sweet flavor that is frost resistant, allowing you to enjoy well into the fall. These All - American Heirloom Parsnip seeds are open pollinated with a snow-white flesh and small core. This variety has sweet, smooth, slender roots and prefers deep, friable soil. This type of parsnip sweetens after the plant is exposed to a light frost. The root is frost resistant and may be dug up during winter as needed. This is a cool season crop. We recommend planting these Heirloom Parsnip seeds in early to mid spring or as soon as the soil is ready to be worked. Placing: Full Sun Planting Depth: 1/2-inch. Spacing: 7 - 10-inch.
