Oregon Sunshine is also called Woolly Sunflower, and the blossoms look much like true sunflowers! Usually the flowers reach a maximum size of 2" across; and, true to its name, this plant will bring a splash of sunshine to your gardens and fields! The stems and leaves are usually covered with hair, giving the foliage its characteristic dusty appearance. Lewis and Clark saw Eirophyllums growing near their camp while the plant was still unknown to science. They gathered two specimens near Kamiah, Idaho on June 6, 1806!
