Black backgrounds are a baked-on enamel finish and painted finishes consist of two coats of air dry laquer paint. Borders and lettering are hand applied. After all this work is complete, a semigloss clearcoat is applied for extra shine. Great care is also taken when packaging these fine products. Plaques are first shrink wrapped, then boxed with the appropriate hardware.
