This resourcefully designed nautical antique ship desk is a salute to the days when traveling by ship required seafarers to make the most of each piece of furnishing. Ship desks had to be broken down and stowed under a bunk at a moment's notice, and of course, components had to be multifunctional. Supports could act as step stools to the navigator's bunk, the desktop could offer a buffer against musket balls when under attack. This authentically reproduced, antique style workspace features a leather top and hand-rubbed French finish, slightly distressed to evoke the romance of many voyages and travels.
