Paradise Fruit Company was incorporated in 1961 as part of Canaveral Utilities and Development Co., a land development operation on the east coast of Florida. The name "Paradise", a label used by a company that had been in the 'glace' (candied) fruit business since the end of WW2, was acquired by Canaveral during the year of incorporation. After several acquisitions and mergers with similar businesses, 'glace' fruit became the major segment of the company's business. In 1965, the name was changed to Paradise Fruit Company, Inc. During those years, there were a number of relatively small operations manufacturing candied fruit, primarily for sale to commercial bakers. The management of Paradise anticipated that there was a great potential for direct sales to homemakers through supermarkets. Over a period of several years, Paradise developed the now familiar transparent, reusable plastic containers found in almost every supermarket during the holiday season. In order to become more immediately responsive to its customers needs, the company invested in a facility to manufacture all of its packaging. This, combined with large inventories, enabled almost overnight filling and shipping of orders. During the same period, the company acquired, merged with, or was licensed by a number of competitors to become the leading marketer of 'glace' fruit products under labels that have been trusted and asked for by customers for generations. Given the increasing diversification, the name of the company was changed to Paradise, Inc. in 1993. Paradise remains an innovator in 'glace' fruit marketing, introducing in 2003 a new package design that incorporates recipes and a cash-redeemable coupon.Features include: -Candied Fruit-Fat free-Glace fruit-Diced orange peel geat for orange dream cake-Ideal baking ingredient

Panifico Vannini Farro Cantucci with Candied Orange and Cho
... Read more
Panifico Vannini Farro Cantucci with Candied Orange and Chocolate is a traditional Tuscan cookie made with 100% farro flour. Cantucci, Tuscan biscotti, have been served for centuries with vin santo sweet wine as a light dessert. Pair them with a cup of espresso, coffee, tea or an after dinner drink. Or enjoy them out-of-hand, as a quick, delicious snack. In 1932 Mario Vannini built a forno and modest bakery in the village of Calenzano, in the gentle, green hills just outside of Florence. Over the years he built a reputation for excellence in baking which, itself, has become a revered family tradition. Today, the Vannini family takes pride in baking breads and regional specialties di forno just as Mario had done, "to delight your senses throughout the entire day". Three generations of Vannini mothers and daughters have carried on the Vannini tradition, using 100% Tuscan IGP farro flour in their hand-baked crackers and cookies. The respect and delicate touch that Barbara and Irene Vannini bring to their baking result in products that are healthful, traditional, but innovative in style and use of alternative grains.

Goya Pinto Beans in 10 pound bags is a very useful and popular product. These pintos are part of the kidney bean family. They are an oval shape, about a half inch long, and tan in color with a brown pattern. As the one of the most popular type of bean, these Goya beans are usually high in demand for dinners and very easy to cook. Soak one cup of beans over night in four cups water, drain and place soaked beans in a pan with four cups fresh water, bring to a boil then simmer until soft. These Goya beans can be used in many Tex-Mex/Mexican dishes, chilies, stews, soups and baked beans. Buying Goya Pinto Beans in bulk is smart. Use only what you need, no waste. You control the ingredients: no added or unwanted additives. And you control your nutrition. One fourth cup of cooked Goya beans is 60 calories, no fat or cholesterol, 14 grams fiber and 7 grams protein and only one gram sugar.
