Cons: No longer a viable choice for new HD movies.
Bottom Line:
A definite buy for about $60, even if only used as an upconverter, you will save money in the long run over Blue Ray DVDs.

Cons: Slower boot-up time compared to conventional standard DVD player. Ongoing format war.

The cost-to-benefit ratio compared to a Blu-Ray player is great. Picture quality is excellent, plays a variety of DVD and CD formats without any problems. It was a solid purchase.

Pros: Excellent price and value. Upconversion of SD is very good. HDDVD movies are simply awesome.
Cons: Load times are slower than SD Player. May have a problem reading all SD DVDs

Great value and amazing quality. I am still very confident that HD-DVD with it's plethora of online advatages, identical quality and cheaper prices will win over Blue-ray.

if you want HD-DVD, I'd get the HD-A3 for a little more (lossless audio), if that desn't matter to you, it's a nice player for cheap.
