The waist is adorned with beautiful champagne ribbon that is attached to the dress- however, with a patient seamstress; this could be easily taken off as it is lying on the top of the dress and not sewn into the waist band. You could use your own color by purchasing one at a local craft store (and it is usually sold by the yard) so it should not be that costly to change out.
