ZAP Operators can easily be installed by one technician in a matter of moments. Vertical lift and high lift applications require a physical stop on the door at the fully open position such as a bumper or pusher spring. ZAP Turbo Drive Controller The Turbo-Drive Controller provides low voltage power and control function to the ZAP DC Motor Drive. Zap Controllers offer a built in Service Due Reminder, Operations Counter, Auto-Close and Delay Close programming. Two models, Standard and Fire Station, are available. The Fire Station Model provides programming that allows the addition of a second set of photo beams to activate the built in Auto-Close timer after the vehicle has departed the facility. The ZAP Controller also provides an automatic stop & reverse function with an adjustable sensitivity setting that eliminates the need for reversing edges, coil cords, or a torsion cable monitoring device. It also monitors motor current and automatically stops the door at the limit of travel eliminating the need for limit switches and will automatically stop the motor on sensing that a slide lock is left in a locked position.
