Time America TA745 Fingerprint Clock   The TA745 functions as a simple to use data collection point for employee information.  It can be linked to a variety of existing computer networks in your organization to complement the management information systems you already have in place.  By automating your data collection process, you can eliminate the manpower and mistakes associated with conventional time cards thereby reducing both payroll costs and errors.   The TA745 guarantees accurate, reliable input.  Employees simply enter information through the TA745’s keypad, by swiping a magnetic stripe or proximity badge.  In addition, the TA745’s Biometric capability positively identifies the employee, eliminating buddy punching. Employee feedback is provided through audible accept/reject tones and displayed messages.   Communication between the TA745 is on a polled basis.  Entering punches is as easy as swiping a badge or keying in a pin number.  Alternately, an employee can press a function key and be prompted to enter additional information such as a department or job number.  In restaurant environments the TA745’s Tip key can accept up to two types of tip inputs, cash and charge.  Each piece of information is stored in the terminal’s memory until requested by the host computer. The TA745 can be programmed to display employee messages and control a bell.  The TA745 collects this data and transfers it to your computer via RS232 serial, RS485 LAN, internal dial-up modem or Ethernet communications, whether wired or wireless.   Features Three Programmable Functions Each function key can be programmed to collect pre defined data, plus the initial employee I.D. and time stamp.  For example, an employee could press the Job key and be prompted to input a work order number.   Durable Construction The TA745 is constructed of injection molded plastic, which, pound for pound is stronger than steel, yet lightweight and attractive.  The terminals have domed membrane keypads, which create a watertight seal against external elements, including a spilt cup of coffee. Their stories encompass many themes: the rise of decorative design, new career paths for women, the growth of consumerism, and the technological ingenuity of escalators and pneumatic tubes. Just as the big stores made up their own small universes, their stories are microcosmic narratives of American culture and society.      The big stores were much more than mere businesses. They were local institutions where shoppers could listen to concerts, see fashion shows and art exhibits, learn golf or bridge, pay electric bills, and plan vacations – all while their children played in the store’s nursery under the eye of a uniformed nursemaid.From Boston to San Diego and Miami to Seattle, department stores symbolized a city’s spirit, wealth, and progressiveness. Situated at busy intersections, they occupied the largest and finest downtown buildings, and their massive corner clocks became popular meeting places.
