On the whole, the real world is the basis for Stig Leander's work. By observing the life of children, he designs furniture that speaks and gives room for experience and development. With an education in craftsmanship and a portion of practical sense, Stig Leander has gained an understanding of the material's qualities and possibilities. That the products are manufactured in a high quality and with respect for good craftsmanship is a matter of course for him. The design work does not happen on a computer, but rather with human hands in the workshop where cardboard and string is used to create the organic shapes that are unique to Leander children's furniture.
