AppleMacBook Pro (MD313LL/A, Late 2011)
The 13in Mac Book Pro is the perfect computer for any college student - it doesn't get viruses, it's fast, it's lightweight, and easy to use. It's a beautiful laptop, and also extremely low-maintenance (great for students who may not be so great with trouble-shooting).
I owned a Dell laptop for 5 years and I have never used a Mac before. When my Dell finally died after 5 long years of faithful service, I made the switch to Mac - and I learned how to use it in under two hours of playing around with it and "getting to know it."
No manuals required; it's so user-friendly, it's almost ridiculous! You don't need to purchace virus protection software (which can really put a dent in your wallet!), and of course, anything you create with your Mac Book is compatible with PC.
And, if you are a student, look into buying your laptop from the Apple Onine Store - you can apply a "student discount" when buying this laptop, and pay around 100$ less than you would if you bought it at any actual shop.
You must purchace applications such as the Mac versions of Word, Excel, Power Point, etc - but don't forget, there are the Mac equivalents of these applications as well, which work just as well and are compatible with PC; these applications, such as Pages, KeyNote, and Numbers, are a fraction of the cost compared to the Mac-safe "Office" applications, too.
The perfect "student's computer"

Cons: Extras for this laptop can get expensive, so be selective!
The Bottom Line:
